  • Needs Some Work... But Overall Impressed...

    By Michael Campolo (Pcmac user)

I spent about $900 on the product. Got the light show box, musical tree show, 2 snowflake walkway lights, 6 C9 light strings, and the hub. Everything looks amazing and does stayed synced up. I’ve had it for 2 weeks now and it’s been thru rain, wind, and snow and they’ve held up. The only problem I’ve had was the glitches with the hub. Everybody that writes a post is right about the glitches they are having with the hub. I’ve set everything on the hub timer. Once or twice a week they will not turn on or turn off at the proper times. Also, the syncing to music is glitchy. For this I can not give a 5 star rating. The product is excellent, but the hub needs more work. I suggest people purchase the product and than decide if it’s right for you. Lowes has a 90 day return policy. I’m cautious about reviews that’s why I always try things out for myself.
  • Great Concept Poorly Executed

    By Crazysep (Pcmac user)

I have spent quite a bit of money on these lights. I have 17 light units. Wreath, icicles, c9s, c100s (I think is what they are called). After comparing the lights and apps of Gemmy the app and Homedepots showhome lights and apps. I have found Gemmy Orchestras App lacking in lots of ways. First, it doesn’t allow you to control the light strands individually. Example: if I want a individual section off/on or staying a constant color outside of the program I can’t. With the showhome app I can. This is an important feature that needs to be worked on. Second, the connectivity from app to lights is bad. Sometimes the stands will do whatever they want not following program. Not cool. For about $1000 in lights this should not be happening. This is a great concept with poor execution. Please provide a better app so that people like me don’t return everything for Showhomes clearly better App and lights.
  • Disappointed in App and Product Quality

    By Danstine99 (Pcmac user)

I purchased the tree duo as well as 7 of the large snowflakes and the hub after Christmas last year. As others have said the range on the hub is horrible! They say 40 feet but we had to move it so it wasn’t more than 10 feet away in order to get everything to connect and we have them arranged together not spread out all over our yard. Finally got it all set up and then the trees quit working! After only working for less than a week, they are now dead and will not turn on at all. Customer service says they are out of warranty but will send a new power adapter. Hopefully that fixes it but for now a major part of my display is down!
  • Lights great. App makes them insane.

    By Ywgd (Pcmac user)

We had our lights set up and all went well. I set the timer in the app and selected a color and sequence. Every time they would come on they would be on a different light setting. But the timer worked so we were very excited to have lights that would turn on and off with a WiFi timer while we were out if town. I would have been better off to just set all of my lights on digital timers. We left town and our security cameras show that the lights have never come on once since we left. Apparently whatever device you have the “app” on has to always be within distance of the hub or else the settings and timers don’t work at all. I made the mistake of assuming this was a smart app like a nest product, that could be operated away from home but it is not. So I wasted $600 on lights that aren’t even going to operate while we are gone for the month. Bummer.
