  • NO manual

    By Shkydx Mitzi (Pcmac user)

Downloaded the app and it looks like something I could really use. Unfortunately, I can not figure out how to use it and I am fairly computer savy. There is no manual as many in the forum have complained about for over a year. No developer should ever release an app without a manual available. There is no help on the website other than videos that go at a breakneck pace so you can't even follow them. I don't like watching videos to learn. I need to be able to read directions. The developers apparently speak Mandarin and have not made an English manual and the translations of what help is there is very confusing. I am not spending hours combing forums to figure out how to even get started. A free trial is no good if it takes longer than 14 days to even get started. I got frustrated and have deleted the app. This isn't normal for me since I take the time to master the apps I use including other apps with steep learning curves like Scrivener. If there is no manual you don't get my money, which is too bad because this looks like a powerful and useful app. Bu I won't ever use it because I need a workflow now.
  • Gotta love updates that try to fix what isn't broken

    By BigAV (Pcmac user)

I've been a huge fan of the app Pro for several years now. As a student in professional school and an avid reader, it was the absolute best app to easily read whatever you needed to, make quick highlights and easily review those highlights. Don't get me wrong, the original the app was far from perfect, but it did this very simple task very well! Now with this app they have completely changed the workflow and made this very simple task almost impossible and just not fun to do. Not to mention that they made it even harder to organize and access all your files, which has always been an absolute disaster in this app. I really don't know what developers are thinking when they do this kind of stuff. I'm switching back to the original the app Pro, even though it is far from perfect, I know I can reliably and easily read and highlight any text I need. I can't give more than one star to an app that I can't find functional no matter the potential it has... may have to check back into LiquidText.
  • Should shrink now

    By WeibingChen (Pcmac user)

I think this app is growing to big now. It tries to add everything, some of which are only used by very few people.
  • A Powerful Tool for College Students

    By _isamz_ (Pcmac user)

this app just won my first app review! Unlike other traditional pdf readers, this one is an absoulte distrupter that really fits college students. I mainly use it for taking notes on textbooks, slides, and lecture notes. It can automatically create an organized notepage/mindmap based on my notes, highlights and screenshots across different documents. It really saves me tons of time on making cheat sheets. I'm also impressed with its OCR function as well -- googling a mathematic theorem has never been so smooth! I absolutely love the concept of this app and have already recommended it to my friends. Thanks for such a great tool! I haven't encountered any problem mentioned in the comments here. I'm not sure if that's because I downloaded this app from its offical site instead of the app store. Really hope the developers could fix those issues quickly and more people find this app useful!
