  • Repeated log in defeats purpose

    By OCNJGirl (Pcmac user)

We needed this app for two motion video cameras we put outside. We had several that work on the Kuna app which we are very happy with. The problem with this app is that it requires you to login constantly. You get an alert that it detects a person outside the front of your house at 3 AM and you try to look at the camera to see who it is, and you have to login before you can see it. The whole point of a security camera is to give you as much notice as possible if someone is trying to get into your house. Taking the time to login, when you’re half asleep, to see if you’re in danger makes no sense. I don’t always remember the password if it’s been awhile since I got an alert. It took me three tries to log in today. If it’s really a dangerous situation, or someone who means ill intent, it would be too late do you even called the police by the time you get to see the video because of the stupid login. Doesn’t make any sense to me there’s no security information on there why can’t they just keep you logged in? Most apps have a box you could check to keep you logged in but this one does not.
  • Unreliable

The notifications work about 50% if the time. In addition to this, when clicking a notification to see/talk with the person who rang the bell, it sometimes takes forever for the live stream to buffer and start. By the time you finally manage to connect, you can see the back of the person who rang, walking away far in the distance. The few times it does work (as in I receive a notification, and the steam buffers fast enough for me to start chatting) the camera is pretty great. But with all the troubles I’ve faced recently I would say that this happens less than 20% of the time. The motion detection is also way too sensitive. Even when I set the sensitivity to “low”, then the motion detection goes of randomly, probably due to bypassing cars (which are 10-15 meters away from the camera). This makes it completely useless. Perhaps you should add an “extremely low” setting to the motion detection, so that it only detect people that actually stand in front of the camera? The unreliability, overly sensitive motion detection, and slow buffering (all three of which I assume could be fixed by having a properly working app), makes the camera not worth the relatively cheap price. For anyone contemplating buying this, do yourself a favor and just pay double for another camera that works as it should.
  • Fair App, but...

    By GaDuffer (Pcmac user)

Happy with camera performance, so far. However, there are some basic functions missing on the app: 1. Apparently they have never heard of Touch ID. So, have to manually login each time. 2. No way to turn the camera on or off from the app. Have to use the physical switch on the camera. 3. No capability to adjust display brightness for the camera. 4. In order to replay a video, you have to go back to the alert page and select the video again. 5. Have been using it for a little over a week and it keeps telling me the camera battery is still at 100%, even though it keeps giving alert warnings that the battery is being used up faster than normal. The app has a lot of potential, but has a ways to go before it becomes a truly beneficial user friendly product.
  • Bad info

    By Judge RG (Pcmac user)

Have four cameras and only one tells battery level the other three say 100% all the time until the camera dies. When changing it says 100% as soon as you start recharging. The app need lots of work. I am considering sending everything back. FIX THE APP PLEASE!!!!! September 13, 2019 Review update Still waiting on a fix to the app. Still can not tell what the battery level is it says 100% all the time until the battery is dead. Also the night vision has gotten to where you can not see anything but spots. I have adjusted the angle of the camera and it makes no difference. If the problems are not fixed no one should buy this product. I am not pleased at all and if it is not resolved by the end of the month it will be returned and I urge everyone to do this even if yours are working it will soon quit October 10, 2019 Review update Seems like the night vision is getting worse as time goes on. It was not the best but now there is mostly spots or glare and it is not clear enough to make out a person or object. You can’t see the person face or a vehicle clearly enough to see any details. This creates a security problem if someone is around the house. PLEASE FIX THE PROBLEM.
