Camera good but app and settings lacking

I have both type of outdoor cameras and the bullet type is much better than the Arlo ripoff battery design. When it comes to the app, the app looks ok but wish it had more camera settings and robots that allow you to tigger other camera(s) when event triggered. I’ve found recording is spotty and records most events within range but will totally miss others even set at highest sensitivity. The worst part is trying to get app to view cameras, you will need to reboot app consistently and it will eventually work. This seems to be an app issue. It’s workable but if you are in a rush to view camera, good luck! When you top that with it missing events all together, it’s very frustrating. I will say though overall, especially when compared to Arlo pro systems, for which I have had, the video quality, price, trigger sensitivity is far better. If Swann would work on app and give us more options I would give it five stars.
New version broke the app!!!

Can no longer load new Wi-Fi networks. All my cameras say failed to load networks. There is 20 2.4 networks in the area and since this new update can no long view or connect my apps. This company is trash. My $200 cameras are now paper weights. Thanks guys. Update: The newest update is even worse. The modes are not useable because the Cameras don’t even respond to them. The firmware on the cameras are horrible. I bought 2 new ones to try that we’re still on 1.5.2. They were able to connect. Now I updated to 1.6 and they no longer can find the Wi-Fi single again but will stay connected to the old saved connection. Makes no sense. Your app also freezes all the time. Instead of coming out with more products maybe fix customer problems please. Sept 2019 still doesn’t work!!!!!!!!

I downloaded version 1.11.1 yesterday. Everything seemed fine at first. Then, I switched to “Home” mode which I have set to disarm all of my cameras except for one. I worked in my yard after that and the cameras were disarmed as they should be. Then, when I was done working I switched modes back to “Away” so that all my cameras would be armed again. And this is where we have a problem. Even though the app says My system is in “Away” mode and that all of my cameras are armed, only the one camera is actually armed. The other cameras are stuck in disarmed mode amd I cant get them to arm again. So , basically version 1.11.1 just turned three cameras into expensive wall decorations. Any suggestions on how to fix the latest gaffe from Swann?
App is bit laggy but does the job

It’s a great security camera system for the price. You need to make sure your phone software are updated to get the best out of this app and cameras. App was non responsive most of the time in my iPhone 7. But works well in my wife’s iPhone XS. No idea why. Happy with purchase. Planning to buy solar panels so that I don’t have to recharge them ever again.
