Install My Aveda app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Using My Aveda on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "My Aveda"
The search will reveal the My Aveda app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once My Aveda is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including My Aveda.
Now enjoy My Aveda on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »

- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "My Aveda" » then Click "Install".

✔ Pros:

- Takes advantage of full screen on iPhone X

- In-app barcode is available for use

☹ Cons:

- No support for Apple Wallet despite advertising it on the App Store

- Poor navigation design, swiping from left does not work

- App has issues recognizing users and their membership status

- App freezes often and has trouble connecting to the server

- Aveda's mobile site is also full of bugs and unreliable for purchasing or redeeming rewards

- Overall, the app is disappointing and frustrating for users.

Something is wrong with this app. It doesn’t recognize me when I open the app (suggesting I log in) and it’s saying only been a member since 2019, but it’s been since 2017.

Quite possibly the worst app for a top quality product line! I’m sure you were paid top dollar to develop this but this is by far the most useless sales app. It freezes often, if it even fully loads at all...and half the time it tells you it can’t connect to the server when every other app, email and browser has no issues. When it does work, it crashes just as you are finishing an order and you have to start over. At first I thought it was just me, but I also have a few friends experiencing the same issues and based on reviews we aren’t alone. It would be so easy to order if this worked, but it is an act of frustration that I just don’t need. Either it works or it’s pointless. Spoiler: it’s pointless. So, I’ll be buying aveda products when I’m near a store because I’ve wasted enough time on the app. Closest one is only a couple states away...you do the math. A great product deserves a much better app...either you haven’t noticed it’s got a 2.5 rating or you don’t care. Which is worse??? Not sure.

First and foremost, where’s the Apple Wallet support? Even though it advertises this feature on the App Store it does not even exist within the app! You only have access to an in-app barcode which seems a little bait n’ switch to me. The app takes advantage of the full screen on the app iPhone X which is nice so it’s nice to not have yet another letter-boxed app. However, swiping from the left of the screen to navigate does not work (poor design since this is standard across iOS and almost every decent app on the App Store) so you are forced to have to tap way at the top left of the screen to navigate back. Please add support for Apple Wallet or remove the false advertising from your description page of the app.

For such a high quality, expensive product, you’d think they could create an app that was reliable for its users. For months, I’ve had issues opening and using the app. It crashes more often than not or gives me an “error” message. Even worse, Aveda’s mobile site is equally full of bugs so if you rely on your phone or app to buy products or redeem Pure Privilege rewards, good luck! I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app more than once only to have the same issues. Disappointing and frustrating. I have to use a friend’s desktop computer to access the app Pure Privilege account since neither the mobile site or app are reliable.
