What is Marker Pen?

This app is a menu bar app that allows you to draw over and above any app or page. It is useful for online teaching, making video tutorials, highlighting phrases, drawing on presentation slides, and more.

Software Features and Description

1. • Click 'Show Properties':- Opens properties window.Pen thickness , Colour &Type can be changed.Free Hand drawing,Straight lines,Arrows,Oval and Rectangle are the available drawing Types.

2. • Click 'Marker On':- Ready to Draw.You can not access other apps or folders.Only drawing is allowed.

3. • Click 'Marker Off':- Drawing mode off.You can access other apps or folders.Alternatively, you can click menu bar also.

4. • Click 'Screen Rec START':-Starts video recording of the screen as you draw.

5. • Click 'Save Screenshot':-Takes a screenshot.You will be asked to pick a location to save this screenshot.

6. This app will be useful for online teaching,Making video tutorials,Highlighting phrases,Drawing on presentation slides, etc.

7. Note:This app does not do Annotation of PDF.You can draw on the screen and take a screenshot or video.

8. • Click 'Save PDF':-After adding multiple pages to pdf, you can save the temporary pdf document.

9. • Click 'Erase All':- Erase all drawn items/objects.

10. First, you will be asked to pick a location to save this video.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Marker Pen"
The search will reveal the Marker Pen app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Marker Pen is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Marker Pen.

Marker Pen functions

- Click 'Marker On': Ready to Draw. You can only access the drawing feature and not other apps or folders.

- Click 'Marker Off': Drawing mode off. You can access other apps or folders. Alternatively, you can click the menu bar.

- Click 'Undo': Erase the last drawn item/object.

- Click 'Redo': Redo the last undo action.

- Click 'Erase All': Erase all drawn items/objects.

- Click 'Show Properties': Opens properties window. Pen thickness, color, and type can be changed. Free Hand drawing, Straight lines, Arrows, Oval, and Rectangle are the available drawing types.

- Click 'Save Screenshot': Takes a screenshot. You will be asked to pick a location to save this screenshot.

- Click 'Screen Rec START': Starts video recording of the screen as you draw. First, you will be asked to pick a location to save this video.

- Click 'Add To PDF': The current screen is added to a temporary PDF document as a page.

- Click 'Save PDF': After adding multiple pages to PDF, you can save the temporary PDF document. Note: This app does not do Annotation of PDF. You can draw on the screen and take a screenshot or video.

Not a Highlighter

I got this to use as a highlighter for my PDF documents so I can read the document from my laptop and highlight as I go (rather than printing and highlighting). However, this product is not for that purpose. It only serves as a tool to write, circle, underline, highlight, etc. for demonstrative purposes - i.e. if you are teaching a class and showing that class what is on your computer screen and want to circle or write on the screen for this purpose. Whatever you do on the screen is temporary and only “on the screen” - not “on the document”… thus, it does not provide an permanence. If you printed, what you did would not print. Also if you turn to a different page, what you did on the screen for the previous page will show on the next page until you clear it.
