Helpful, but needs more
By Mmpayne1 (Pcmac user)
I enjoy using this app for designing my quilts. Unfortunately, it’s limited in some aspects.
1) I cannot figure out how to get smaller squares for the sash and binding. So, I never get a good perspective for the final product as the sash and binding show up as the same size as my blocks.
2) it would be helpful if there were a way to make notes about the fabric being used (info such as the size of the fabric I’m using, how many squares I can get out of it, where I purchased it in case I need to go back and get more, etc.)
3) it would be helpful to be able to edit the names of my blocks
4) it would also be helpful to be able to export or print out the blocks I have created. It’s easier for me to find duplicates that way. I am currently working on a sampler quilt with roughly 150 blocks. With that many it’s hard for me to spot duplicates unless I can see them “all at once.” Duplicates in name as well as duplicates in block layout.

Like the app, needs better directions
By Ashes8998 (Pcmac user)
So far this app is pretty basic as far as trying to design a quilt layout. Even after watching the video tutorial I still am having trouble figuring out how to add triangle units and such into a layout. The one thing I do like is that you can add pictures of the actual fabrics you plan to use in your layout to see a more realistic version of what it will look like when finished. The app has been very helpful for me deciding on placement of blocks for a disappearing 9 patch pattern, which I love to make but always end up having to make tons of adjustments during the piecing to ensure that I don’t have any of the same colors side by side. Being able to import my fabric into this has made disappearing 9 patch designs a breeze. I would love some clearer instructions on how to construct more advanced designs in this app.

Love, but want more
By Fe131417 (Pcmac user)
I love using this app because it lets me play around with my quilt designs and get a feel for them before I dedicate to anything. I only wish that the quilts could be wider and taller than 35 blocks. I like to work with small squares and I’ve done baby quilts with 1 inch squares before, but I can’t really see the whole quilt at a time when it doesn’t have repeating blocks and is larger than 35 blocks wide or high. I also kind of wish there were some more basic block options. But otherwise I love it and will continue to use the app.

Saves a ton of time and is fun to use!
By Disamused (Pcmac user)
Update: recent updates have made this even easier to use. I’ve been using this app for a few years now and it has got a lot better with every update. They are really responsive too when I have a problem.
I love having a way to electronically plan out quilts and play with colors and patterns. I didn't quilt for so long because we were tight on space and my kids and dog were always crawling all over everything. This really helps me avoid that from happening so much! It is also great for planning fabric. I can upload an image of different fabric lines and use that to determine yardage, scale, etc.
