1. Majhong, the solitaire type game, also called Taipei or Shanghai, is an old Chinese board game.
2. Any pair of identical tiles can be removed, if each tile is free on their left or right side.

Fun & 'seeable'

Seeable is my way of saying the tiles are bright, colorful & distinct! The layouts I've played so far are fun to see & challenging enough to not get boring. I would add a fifth star, but I think the ability to shuffle should not be something one has to buy. I would purchase a version of this game that gets rid of the ads & gives one the ability to shuffle as neeeded.

First of all, the creators of this game misspelled the name of the game, Mahjong, which always seems extremely lame to me. I hate spelling and grammatical mistakes in professional products or in their literature.
Second, the music is completely annoying, and the sound (singular) is quite uninspired, unvarying, and unsatisfying.
Third, this version is too easy to hold any interest, and in fact, I only play it when I am stuck on the toilet, and I have tired of the challenge of NY Times crosswords.
I won't pay any money for hints or shuffles, but I do think that there should be a pop-up message noting when there are no more moves left so that I don't waste time when the game is essentially over.

I really like playing this particular version but recently it keeps spontaneously shutting down. Good news, if I reopen it right away it goes back to where I left off, but it is frustrating when it happens several times in the same game! Playing on iPad Pro.

Didn't think I'd ever find another this app to replace one the writers choose not to update to new system. How happy I am you proved me wrong. This app is perfect & I look forward to a lot of laying it. Thank you, hope you keep it updated to Apple's new OS's.
