Game Features and Description

1. Where SpellTower tackled word search and Really Bad Chess handled chess puzzles, Typeshift re-examines Anagrams and Crosswords.

2. Special Clue Puzzles combine Crosswords with Anagrams as you match clever clues provided by Typeshift's various puzzle authors.

3. In most anagram games, you search for new combinations within a single word, but in Typeshift, you search within three to five words stacked & scrambled up together.

4. Typeshift is the modern anagram puzzle; re-imagined from the ground up, combining wordplay, modern game design, and a mobile-first approach.

5. Typeshift comes with over a hundred free puzzles, with more coming soon, plus new free daily puzzles every day.

6. Typeshift continues my quest to re-imagine classic newspaper games in the digital era.

7. Typeshift features a free daily challenge with global leaderboards.

8. Anagrams meets Word Search, with a sprinkle of Crosswords.

9. The easiest challenge for the week appears on Monday, and progressively more challenging puzzles build throughout the week.

10. "Typeshift is a unmissable entry to the [word] genre." Gold Award.

11. Typeshift has been a joy to develop, and I hope you have as much fun playing it as I had making it.

  • Unique and a lot of fun but I can't restore my purchase

    By Toysandtupperware (Pcmac user)

I love this game! It's unique and a lot of fun. I also think it's awesome that you get five clues for watching a short video instead of just one, like most games. I just have a problem I need help with and a couple changes I would like. I love the clue puzzles and purchased the nut package. I wanted more but I would have to buy them separately for $1.99 each. I've tried three times to restore my purchases and each time it tells me that they have been restored, but they haven't. Besides that, I wish you had another clue package for purchase. I know you have some free ones, but they are too hard and I can't solve them. I would love some regular puzzles with less letters. I really love your game and want to keep playing! Thank you!
  • Annoying ads

    By LinBurns (Pcmac user)

I’ve been enjoying the game, but recently these intrusive, annoying ads that promise a $1000 gift card are diffusing some of the enjoyment. First of all, I do not seem to be able to see the definitions anymore. If I try, one of these ads appears, and the only option is "OK". There’s no way back to the definition page. Furthermore, the ad seems to promise $1000 gift card for answering a few questions or picking the right box (hint: you always get it right on the third try). If you read a little further, the "too good to be true" reveals itself as a commitment to buy...that’s as far as I got before I got disgusted by the deception. It wouldn’t be so bad if you could close the ad, but I haven’t found a way to do so.
  • Excellent word game with lots of content

    By CaplinROUS (Pcmac user)

Sliding letters to form words is much more clever than it sounds, and the provided puzzles vary between pleasingly light games, solvable tricky puzzles requiring thought, and bogglingly hard obscure sets. My favorite are the clue puzzles, which feel like a cross between crossword puzzles and anagram word puzzles. There are lots of solid puzzles included plus many more packs you can buy, so it does a good job at serving both casual players who want something cheap and obsessed fans who want lots of content. There are also daily puzzles that escalate in difficulty over the week.
  • Annoying Loud Ads

    By Litarider (Pcmac user)

Do you enjoy having your ipad suddenly blare ads? No, neither do I. Enjoyed the games for several days. Then I realized a few things: I could resolve puzzles by finding words that weren’t the core words, some words that earned credit weren’t words, not even the in-app dictionary, and some words which I unscrambled did not earn credit, despite being actual correctly spelled words. The app does count words that have been archaic since the 12 century (doubtful most of us or the app developers know those words), spellings and words that are rare, lesser known variants of words, technical words, and words specific to certain specialized disciplines and knowledge areas. I just got bored and would simply roll around the letters until the game declared I’d made a word. Basically, this game is just lazy. I don’t understand how apps get the app store spotlight and meet the developers. Do tell, Apple. Do developers get to pay for that placement?
