Top Pcmac Reviews

  • Trust the 1-star reviews. It's awful.

    By Bête Belle (Pcmac user)

I won't go into the price, bland art, or non-functionality of this falsely advertised "emoji" "keyboard". Just read the other 1-star reviews. They're all true. But I must warn that unless you dump money on the overpriced PNGs or fonts the app won't remember anything you download if it gets deleted. (Some ppl posted about that in the forums but I think it should be here too.) Premium stuff that's free for a day will say that you own it if you download it, but it won't count either. You'll have to buy if you want to use it again in the future. This app is a shameful example of corporate greed + bad decisions, & the way Gaia is shoveling it at its already disgusted users is invasive and annoying as hell, like pop-up ads multiple times a day that even Adblock can't get rid of. All Gaians reading this should look up the staff reviews for Gaia Interactive on Glassdoor & similar sites. It'll give you a LOT of insight into how overworked they are, how & why the site - plus failure projects like this app - has become the drowning cesspool it is now, as well as a possible way to save a shred of its old integrity (hint: GC protestors are onto something). Bottom line: Don't bother. Save the space on your phone for s/t actually useful.
  • Even if it's a cash grab, you still have to build it properly.

    By An Oldbie (Pcmac user)

It makes me sad to see these emotes. They still have a spark of that style and personality that used to make Gaia successful, but that appeal is quickly extinguished by an awkwardly intrusive UI, overinflated prices, generic emote choices that hog too much of the message window, and a general overall blandness that makes it feel like no real love or creativity went into making it. And this is all overshadowed by the fact that Gaia has predominantly marketed this app to their existing customer base, one that has already been increasingly dissatisfied with the dwindling support for existing features as developer resources are pulled away to focus on rushed, profit-oriented projects like this one.
  • What a joke.

    By Martian96 (Pcmac user)

First off, if you want animated stickers, you can't break a bundle to buy them individually. So if there's only one sticker you want that's cute and the rest are okay and you don't think you'd use them, too bad for you. Secondly, on the iPhone they do NOT show up with the same clear white background. You paste the emoji into the message bar and it's not high quality. It loses the clarity that's advertised in the app previews and you get a slightly darker gray background. Until these get resolved somehow, my rating stays the same.

Wow, after having been gone from Gaia for over 5 years, I come back and everything seems broken somehow. Within a week I effortlessly take in 1 billion G from the over-inflated digital economy on the site, and then there's constantly a sense of Gaia begging for my money including throw-away apps like this that I don't think I'd even use. Deleted it within minutes of download because I resent a happy piece of my childhood nostalgia being reduced to a pandering chunk of crap app like this. You let me down, guys.
