Download an Android emulator for PC:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "VidAngel"
The search will reveal the VidAngel app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once VidAngel is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including VidAngel.

✔ Pros:

- VidAngel allows users to filter out content they don't want to see or hear in modern entertainment.

- The filters work incredibly well and allow fine control over the content.

- The concept is unique and fills a gap in the market.

- The app has a good selection of videos to choose from.

☹ Cons:

- The app does not allow for landscape view, which is a basic function of an app.

- The cost is a bit high and adds to the already rising subscription costs for media.

- Once you give them a credit card, they will never allow it to be deleted.

- The app forces the user to search, browse, and set filters while in portrait mode, but then forces the movies to play in landscape, which can be inconvenient for some users.

- The app seems to disconnect every few weeks from the subscribed services like Netflix or HBO.

They will never stop sending junk mail

When I first signed up with them, I thought they were pretty good business. I couldn’t understand why they were in all these lawsuits and why they lost their lawsuit. Now as I have decided not to use them anymore, I realize how horrible of a business they are. Once you give them a credit card they will never allow it to be deleted. I have begged and begged and begged them to close my account but they refuse. I have begged and bagged and begged for them to stop sending me emails but I still get junk mail from them all the time. I have communicated with their technical support people at least eight times and still they keep trying to bill my credit card and are sending me emails even though I am begged them to close my account. Beware of a company that once they have your credit card but will not allow it to ever be deleted. If I could give them a zero star I would but the minimum you can give us a one, unfortunately. New customers please beware.
Good concept, needs updating

Love this concept and has worked well so far with the videos I’ve tried. I can’t believe it doesn’t allow for landscape view, however. This is one of the most basic functions of an app so to release it without it is somewhat baffling. Once that is in place, it should be much more user friendly. Cost is a bit high as it adds to the already rising subscription costs for media but I’m willing to help a company like this to expand on its mission. Keep up the good work.
Forcing portrait orientation when searching or setting filters

This app is seriously lacking because it forces the user to search, browse, and set filters while in portrait mode, but then forces the movies to play in landscape. Many iOS users use attached keyboards that uses the landscape orientation. These keyboards also act as a stand or prop when watching videos. Needing to disconnect the keyboard just to rotate the iPad to portrait to browse and set filters only to reconnect is a pain and seems to be completely unnecessary. I just cannot figure out what reason this app developers have to only allow portrait for setting filters, searching, or browsing. Secondly, the app seems to disconnect every few weeks from the subscribed services like Netflix or HBO. Unfortunately the errors don't actually spell that out. You just have to troubleshoot (log out, disconnect, reconnect) to get it to work again. Some concise error handling would go a long way in this regard.
The only option for having total control over content

The only player in the space for allowing you to eliminate content you don’t want to see or hear in modern entertainment. There are lots of films and shows that aren’t worth saving, but there are some that have great stories but have too much content that you don’t want that isn’t even necessary to the plot. That’s where this app shines. Their filters work incredibly well, and they allow very fine control over the content. I’ve been waiting for years for someone to play in the space of allowing you to filter streaming content, and I think they’ve cracked that nut.
