1. Tessa extracts text from your image or PDF documents, processing each page multiple times to optimize recognition, so that the time you spend in proofreading and correcting mistakes is minimized.

2. While the basic version of the app limits recognition to one page at a time, a single in-app upgrade to premium unlocks the ability to process multiple pages in a single go.

3. Tessa processes each page multiple times to improve recognition results, however, please note that the output depends on the input quality and even in the best of scenarios, should still be proofread for corrections.

4. Tessa works well with documents printed using commonly used fonts and does not do well with handwritten documents or those using ornamental or other fancy fonts.

OCR’s a single page without issue

I haven’t tested this much but it worked on first try to the app a single page printed document

Could not scan block letter english, extremely slow on a 8 core mac pro, does not stop when stop button is hit. The first thing you are confronted with is the lack of languages and an offer to upgrade to “Premium”. looks and behaves like public domain the app with a GUI tacked on by someone just learning to program for “macOS”. The output was gibberish and not even good gibberish not one word was recognized.
