What is Weirdwood Manor? "The Incredible Tales of Weirdwood Manor" is an interactive book series for children aged 6-12 years old. It is a fantasy tale in the tradition of "Harry Potter" and "The Golden Compass" and is a beautifully illustrated picture book, a stunningly animated movie, and a challenging series of games and puzzles. The story follows the adventures of three misfit children who each have special talents and win a trip to Weirdwood Manor to meet their reclusive hero, Arthur Weirdwood. Very intriguing and engaging

The story kept my interest and I found myself thinking about it when I wasn't "playing" the "game." It is sort of a book being read to you while you can look around for hidden objects and playing interesting games. The "hidden objects" are items you find when you use a special critter helper; they shimmer and you tap on them. The items you find go into a journal which adds depth to the story line. The journal eventually has dozens of snippets on different characters and critters of fae origin; many time with some humor involved. I'm a 65 year old mom and it is my opinion both adults and children will enjoy this interactive book/app. The story ends with a cliffhanger which makes me hungry for the next part...

My son said the book/game was "Awesome"! It only took him a week to finish the entire series. He is hoping that you come out with a new edition soon. Here are his recommendations for updates and/or improvements: Set up adapted sensing challenge levels so kids at any learning level can play along easier side by side. I have a brother with Cerebral Palsy and autism. He loves reading, but games are harder for him. I have autism, too. But I am really good at games and math, not reading as much as him. He's really good at reading biographies and facts. This game is great because we could play together if the challenges would sense how he responds, and adapt to his ability.

I came across this when I had an assignment for a class to review a picture book app (studying to be a teacher). I had only expected to flip through the first "book" for the paper and I ended up buying the entire series because I became instantly hooked!! The story makes me think of Harry Potter meets A Series of Unfortunate Events meets Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. It's mysterious enough to constantly keep you hooked, but not so overwhelming that it's confusing or creepy. This is a WONDERFUL app for any kid that HATES reading. The design and interactiveness of the story makes you forget that you're even reading because you get so absorbed in the story. It's easy enough for kids to work the app and read, yet advanced enough that it will challenge their reading skills and adults can enjoy it too. I read somewhere that the developers had said that the next chapter will come out in 2017, and since November is almost over I'm hoping it must be soon! Eagerly waiting to see what happens next!!

I have no words to describe this app... unless you count intriguing, captivating, and awesome! I was hooked from the beginning and normally don't make in-app purchases like ever, but I made an exception for this app because it was so good. The story is enthralling, the graphics are amazing, and the puzzles are fun. It's beautiful. Fair warning though, there's going to be basically a second series, kind of like a sequeal-ish, but it's not out yet (it comes out this year?). So, I'm going to be in agony until comes out. Overall, this app is spectacular. (Saying this as a teenager)
