Audi A3 e-tron connect App for Pc

This is a very useful little application. I’ve read the reviews of those dissatisfied and for most of them, they’re looking for functionality beyond the scope of this application. True, it doesn’t remotely lock your doors or close your windows. Reviewing what is in scope, and the app works well. For example, while shopping in the mall, I can quickly check the car charging status through the app. Not sure where I parked the car at a major event? Just use the app and it’ll show me where the A3 is. Are you like me and wondering if you locked the doors when you left your car? Well, the information is available through the app instead of walking all the way back to the car to check. Are you at lunch with friends and want to brag about how far your e-trim goes on a tank of gas? Just bring up the trip history information on the app and show them! Totally rocks! YES, the app could and should invest more into the application. Scope of functions can be expanded. Using FOUR websites for the one car is ludicrous (e.g. My the app, the app Connect, the app e-tron, and the app Finance). My dealership called this mess “security”. As a person that designs software, I call it bad customer experience. This is easy to fix. As that’s a global issue across systems, I’ll rate this app which is just one part of all their systems as 5 stars; however, the overall customer experience with web and mobile is more like 2 stars.

This app is a complete joke. First of all, every etron owner should be able to use it but many etrons are coming with a bug that doesn't connect to the app and the dealerships are not prepared to solve the issues. It takes several days and you need to force them to talk to the app Etron customer service so they can understand that ALL etrons have this feature. The dealerships will try to convince you that your etron doesn't have the feature if you don't have the navigation system, which is not true. Cmon the app, train your own dealerships! This is a luxury brand, this kind of problems shouldn't happen.

Compared to the Tesla app, this the app app is in the dark ages. It has not been upgraded the entire time we have owned our 2017 A3 Sportback etron. Now that our car is being discontinued by the app, I doubt we will ever see an update. Car screen shows mpg, but not the app. Average consumption works rarely on the app. Parking position only works when the the app is “parked”, unlike Tesla which shows the actual position of the car even while it is moving. Climate control “sometimes” works, but pre-conditioning is hit and miss. No valet mode to prevent valet parkers from exceeding a certain speed or accessing controls. I wish that my etron would also have received the promised higher amp hour battery cells that were being tested in 2017, but that will never happen now. An adequate app for a good car, which could be so much better.

Doesn’t give current info on the charging status, amount of charge. Scheduled charging feature does not work. I suspect that the common flaw is connectivity between my phone and the car. It can’t find my car when it’s in the garage (where the charger is). Calls to the app failed to resolve these issues. Worst of all, the car’s MMI also does not support scheduled charging so I can’t schedule charging at all. This is a deal killer for this car because utilities are moving to Time of Use pricing to balance the electrical grid.
