Software Features and Description

1. Together with the UR-RT2, UR-RT4, UR242, UR44, UR28M and UR824 audio interfaces, the dspMixFx app allows you to utilize the benefits of Yamaha’s custom-designed SSP2 DSP chip directly on your iPad and iPhone.

2. Please note that this app is only a control application for Steinberg’s USB audio interfaces UR-RT2, UR-RT4, UR242, UR44, UR28M and UR824.

3. The dspMixFx app is free of charge, providing latency-free monitoring while running the highly acclaimed REV-X reverb, the Sweet Spot Morphing Channel Strip and Guitar Amp Classics with other iOS audio apps.

4. Make sure to download and install the firmware update version 2.10 first for UR44, UR28M and UR824 to enable the UR interface to run together with the dspMixFx app.

5. * Units need to be switched to class compliant mode to run with the iPad via the iPad Camera Connection Kit, the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter or the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter.

6. In CC mode Loopback capability is disabled and only the analog inputs and outputs are available on UR28M and UR824.

7. Without a UR interface it can be used in demo mode only.

Install dspMixFx app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using dspMixFx on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "dspMixFx"
The search will reveal the dspMixFx app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once dspMixFx is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including dspMixFx.
Now enjoy dspMixFx on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use dspMixFx,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "dspMixFx" » then Click "Install".
- dspMixFx will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Doesn't recognize UR44 interface

Just got the Steinberg UR44 interface. Wonderful! It works fine with this app on the desktop, but this app won't recognize the interface on my iPad Air. The interface itself works fine with Auria, but this app won't recognize or control the interface. Big disappointment!
