What is ChordPolyPad?

ChordPolyPad is a MIDI chords player that can be used as a standalone application or an AUv3 MIDI effect plug-in. It allows you to create chord sets from a large internal library, from any combination of notes, or from chords generated randomly. Each set consists of 8 groups of 16 pads, or 2 groups of 64 pads. In addition to playing chords, each pad can generate customizable MIDI controls on its horizontal and vertical axis. The app supports full internal and external MIDI connections for input and output.

Software Features and Description

5. Hosts supporting AUv3 MIDI effect: Cubasis, Beatmaker, AUM, Audiobus, NanoStudio, Auria Pro, apeMatrix.

6. In addition to play chords, each pad can generate customizable MIDI controls on its horizontal and vertical axis.

7. The host needs to support the Audio Unit v3 (AUv3) MIDI effect format.

8. A compatible host is required to run the plug-in.

9. An internal sound bank is included.

10. Each set consists of 8 groups of 16 pads, or 2 groups of 64 pads.

Install ChordPolyPad app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using ChordPolyPad on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "ChordPolyPad"
The search will reveal the ChordPolyPad app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once ChordPolyPad is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including ChordPolyPad.
Now enjoy ChordPolyPad on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use ChordPolyPad,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "ChordPolyPad" » then Click "Install".
- ChordPolyPad will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

My wife doesn’t know chords etc. but she’s in my duo nonetheless. We depend on this app a lot but wish we understood it better. Great app as far as we know!
Best chord app yet

I've tried a plethora of chord and scale apps. None of them has the versatility of this one. The only thing that holds me back from 5 stars is the ability to play the single notes of a chord. It would be great if there was a switch on the chord note keyboard that would change it to the keys of the note of the chord selected. Chordion has that feature but this app, which I just bought because Chordion 2 hasn't come about, is still much better than Chordion. Love the app and some of the internal sounds are pretty darn good!

Velocity Detection is Useless

Could have been the ideal app but the only realtime velocity detection is worthless. To make it perfect make the accelerometer detection adjustable and offer the option of pad position velocity selection. I.E. top, bottom, left, right, for high velocity. Dare to be different - offer velocity options.
