★ ★ ★ The Simpsons Overview

What is The Simpsons? The Simpsons: Tapped Out is a city-building game that allows players to create their own version of Springfield after it was destroyed by a nuclear meltdown caused by Homer Simpson. The game features characters from the popular TV show, The Simpsons, and allows players to collect and dress up their favorite characters, control their lives, and build their own version of Springfield. The game also features exclusive animated scenes and new stories written by the writers of The Simpsons.

Game Features and Description

1. Think Homer deserves to live next door to Moe’s? Or the monorail can survive a few more sharp twists and turns? Or 40% fewer health inspectors? Well you can finally make Springfield just the way you want it! Expand your town to the Waterfront, grow its businesses with the glamourous shops of Springfield Heights, and enjoy its sights, all with only a few taps.

2. Can’t control your own life? Now you can control the lives of the citizens of Springfield instead! Make Apu work ridiculously long shifts at the Kwik-E-Mart, have Moe smuggle illegal animals, or make Homer toil poolside all day… that last one might not be so bad.

3. Help reunite Homer with his loved ones - Marge, Lisa, Maggie (and even sometimes Bart) – as well as his not so loved ones, like Ned Flanders.

4. Re-populate Springfield with your favorite characters, from Barflies (Barney Gumble) to Wise Guys (Fat Tony).

5. Springfield might perpetually be on the verge of destruction, buy hey, at least it’s never boring.

6. Catch exclusive animated scenes and new hilarious stories from the writers of The Simpsons.

7. Requires acceptance of EA’s Privacy & Cookie Policy and User Agreement.

  • Worst Game Ever - Breaks With Zero EA Support

    By Toonz Muse (Pcmac user)

For a fun game, it is ruined by glitches, game lock outs, and content earned through playing the app game is not given to the app consumer. Often real money is spent on donuts to advance the app game but the app content is not received. E A is unresponsive and ineffectual to give you the app missing content. Instead, they try to throw 10 donuts at you, then throw 30 donuts at you thinking that this fixes the app issue when the app game is still malfunctioning. Anyone else enjoy playing only to encounter glitches that EA or Apple cannot resolve? This isn’t rocket science...why is such a Big, Highly-Visible game allowed not to fix simple issues like adding the app content you bought for your game. the app point is to get the app content earned not to get more donuts to buy non-existent content. In the app latest zoo game, I earned a panda and elephant but did not receive them...then why offer them if a customer earns them and Simpson’ Tapped Out doesn’t deliver nor fix the app issue causing the app glitch? Cute game, lousy technical support, possible fraudulent tactics in ignoring paying customers. And what’s with only getting one square of land as a “gift” to expand your land when we all used to be able to use the app faux cash earned through rents to buy lots of land at a time? Playing the app game is less fun in 2018 and full of glitches. My recommendation, play at your own risk....you won’t get effective support from EA.
  • Completely Lost Hope

    By Gordie Jennings (Pcmac user)

this app Tapped Out was once my favorite game on my phone for many different reasons, mostly because I could rearrange Springfield however I wanted. But, almost a year ago now, a few bugs appeared, starting with an in-game update. the app screen said that it needed a 950mb update to continue, so I clicked ok and it took about 30 minutes but the app game was normal for the app most part afterwards. the app next day though, I came back to check on my city, and the app game wanted me to update the app same thing again. I was a little confused, but I still went ahead with the app 30 minute update. As you might tell, I was pretty dedicated to this game at this particular moment. the app next day, the app same thing happened, so I contacted EA. They gave me the app basic troubleshooting steps like restart your phone, see what amount of storage you have, etc. I did all that and yet- nothing. So, I took a break from the app game for a while, thinking that in three months EA would’ve fixed the app glitch. Today I got on again, and it had to update again, another almost gigabyte of storage wasted. I think that today was Tapped Outs final test to see if it would be fixed, but I think my Tapped Out days are over. I had a lot of fun with this game in the app past, but now playing it is a waste of time.
  • About time to end

    By NickelEdge 2 (Pcmac user)

It's was always been a bit buggy. But with the app latest update the app iPhone6plus gets hot to hold and quits after about 5-15mins of play or switching 1-3 neighbor towns. This along with the app lack of sales on premium currency, I've started phasing the app game out. It's not worth the app cost. On this game it should only cost 50% the app max cost and and last you a year. When they had the app sales it would save a good amount and would last most of the app year. And as time went on the app sales got better, though this trend would continue. But the app sales of premium currency stopped and now would only last you half the app year. When you look at the app amount spent, I could get a AAA title collectors edition with a season pass. I loved the app game but the app bugs with increase of cost is making me rethink, if it's worth still playing. Update: may 23, 2018 So they increased the app ways and amount of premium currency you can earn in the app game. But the app bugs and crash of the app game have gotten more frequent. And a new bug, I was trying to speed through a event using premium currency. the app game crashed and on reload the app event was over. And far as gameplay, their is no news/alert on game events starting. So pretty much always came in late and could never finish the app first act. Probably the app only good thing is I haven't spent any real money on the app game in a while.
  • Great Game

    By Ljohn101 (Pcmac user)

I have been playing this game for several years and it is one of the app best ones out there. In fact, I have had this game longer than any other game. For a long time I did not spend any real money and was able to play the app game and finish any of the app events they had. I only log into the app game 3-4 times a day and have never had problems completing an event. I spend money now, because I want to show my appreciation for not making this a “pay to play game.” Also, when I do spend money, it is never on the app current event. There are some glitches and bugs every now and then, but they are always quickly resolved. I also do not know a single software company out there that doesn’t have bugs or glitches when they upgrade or update their programs or software. Sometimes you just can’t anticipate everything, but the app important part is that you know how to fix it. If you are new to the app game, just be patient, have fun and you will get there.
