If you want to install and use the The Sims™ FreePlay app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type The Sims™ FreePlay in the search bar and press Search. Click on The Sims™ FreePlay application icon. A window of The Sims™ FreePlay on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Download on Andriod, Iphone
Free On iTunes
Download Android

Thank you for reading this tutorial. Have a nice day!

  • I love this game but...

    By Okay, um what?
This is one of my favorite games that i have on my ipad. I love how it resembles actual life and you can grow the babies. I love all of the jobs and places that you can get on the map because they are all unique in their own special way and they all hold an awesome activity like going to work or buying something. I especially love designing the houses because its so much fun to create cool life like areas where your sims can live. I have gotten pretty far into this game and have found some things to suggest. First of all, when i got the puppies and kittens quest completed, i was so excited to have my own pet to love but i feel like it should be able to do more. I can sit with the pet but i wish i could wash it in the bathtub or bounce it on the bed like i can with the baby. Another thing is that the pools, patios, and multi story things are very expensive. I have seen awesome houses and i want to have a big upstairs but i cannot afford it so i have to get a big area of space downstairs and fill up the whole thing because i cant make an upstairs. This is annoying because i also want space outside to put a pool and a patio but those are also very expensive. Right now i have a tiny 2 by 3 patio. If i even put railing on it, which is also very expensive, i would only have two little squares for my sims so it is just like a carpet outside that doesn't do anything. Thats all for now. Love this game. Please consider my problems.

Dear EA, I’m absolutely in love with your sims FreePlay game. There’s so much diversity within the game its self and so much your sim can do ... but it just all of these updates are kinda getting repetitive and you guys are missing the smaller things that will make the game that much more fun. For example the capacity of sims a house/building can hold is down right silly like seriously 10 ?!? Only ten people can be in a building at a time, like what if I want to throw a big party and only a few people can come ??? I think the bigger the house the more people you can have in it cause I have some really big hones on that game and I feel like it should hold more than just ten people, maybe twenty wound be a reasonable number?? 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏽‍♂️. Also give the sims more interaction options, like maybe if more than one person could to speak to each other at the same time, I just want my sims to be able to do as much as possible and I’m not talking about major updates I’m just talking about incorporating more social interactions and relationship scores not much but I promise you it will make many freeplayers (like my cousin and I) that have been playing this game for quite some time, so happy and we promise we will appreciate it with the bottom of our hearts .. heck we appreciate theses current updates ... I’m just giving something guys something to work with 🤩🤩thank you so much for your time 😋 ~ from a proud simsfreeplayer ♥️♥️
  • A bit upset

    By -annoyed
I am sorry if I am upsetting you but the only reason I am saying what i am about to say is so you as developers know what I as a player of your game is feeling I think it is a bit restrictive due to lack of self creativity because you can’t really express yourself and I think it is most likely from the lack of freedom with clothes I love to have my own sense of style and create my own things and when I look at the clothing options I feel as if it’s just not mine because the styles of the clothes don’t always work the way I want them to do if you could expand it more I would greatly recommend it because I think it would make not only me happy (not trying to sound self centered ok just hear me out) but also give other players/future players a way to fully express themselves through their clothing choices because it’s not always that fun when you have 6 shirts that look the same just different colors and I think if you looked in the closet and saw that you would probably not like it as much as being able to create your own look based on things you like Sincerely,AJ One more thing lately my sims have been vomiting for absolutely no reason and I try to keep up on all there needs but with ten sims and the want to do things that I want to do with them it is hard especially with the adult sims and when I do check if they are vomiting because of hunger or what not it is usually if not always almost all the way/all the way full WTH (what the heck?!)
  • Love this game but

    By starfish simmer
This game is great but I have a few suggestions. The bunk beds should be sold in the online store bc I think a lot of simmers would purchase that pack. Also a zoo or aquarium should be put into the game. Another issue with this game is that preteens cannot do anything more actions should be put into play with them. Also there should be more restaurants like a sushi place and a coffee house and a family restaurant. Sorry about all of the suggestions I really love this game but these could make it 1000 times better. Also more family activities could be added such as a family friendly park complete with a playground and grill area. Also it would be very cool if more vacation places were added. Like a Paris type place and a family friendly beach with activities from all age groups. Also this could be interesting and maybe a Halloween update, maybe a cemetery where when the grim reaper comes to get sims the family can morn and hold a service for them complete with grave stones and a reception area. Also body types! Fat tall short etc! I am a very serious simmer that has been playing for many years! I LOVE THIS GAME AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE who love creating and has a big imagination! This is my favorite game that offers so much! Sorry for the long review and the amount of suggestions! DOWNLOAD THIS GAME TODAY! It is well worth your time! Sincerely, Starfish simmer

  • Sims free play

    By Karim1brandon
Slower than a snail at downloading the game . You idiots
  • You want a Sim game well this is the only option..

    By Jadenfire
My updated review: The game seems to be taking a hefty nose dive down. Upping prices for things charging 50$ for one Sim is nuts let alone that costly’s the only Sim game on iOS that keeps the needs & sim game play intact. Otherwise it’s money hungry & a grind. We Want / Need: -Offline Play - it would reassure us if the game ever went down we would be able to continue playing the game, also would give some of us a peace of mind to buy in apps knowing they are safe with us no matter what. It plays offline if you boot fully in then turn off WiFi. They need to remove the startup WiFi checks. -FreeWill let them go do things on there own instead of sitting around like a bump on a log.. It has freewill but only in Live Jobs, the Sims will go use the bathroom & even make coffee on there own, while it don’t fill needs it shows freewill is possible. -Removal of the timer / energy system We need a Sims game not a mobile Time Management game painted to look like one. Bring back the good old sim days that pc Sims has. Proper draining need system like pc or like the iOS sims 3 series had. -New Clothes for all Sims, all ages, all pets. -Import a copy of a House you made in town to AR mode -Easy & quick Selling of Inventory items -Removal of all currency options leaving only Sim Money & Life Points. -Ability to build our own walls & half walls -unlock & open the Work areas for everyone to freely use if that’s there job - like in Sims 4 get to work on pc. -way More Sims in a town not locked to any vip system -Live Weather System like Sims 2-4 have done on PC. This is supposed to be a “Sim” game surely don’t feel it. -Pet breeding System that ties to the puppies & kittens in the pet shop. -Young Adult Sims & Colleges. -Movie Theatre & stage with Ability to set up scenes & shows with props to add. -vet clinic & the ability to run one. -Alternate way to earn lots of money like selling paintings or objects running a business & selling things like Sims 2-4 on PC has done. -A way to sell & trade objects to other players, like a player owned store. -More object sets less costs all objects should be Sim money. Like Sims 2-4 have done everything costs the money a sim earns at there job with some objects not unlocking till u get to a level in that career, your supposed to be a Sim game you surely are not showing it. -More Wallpapers & Floors. -The ability to place floor objects in the same area as wall objects curtain on Windows you can’t put stuff in front of them you can’t put stuff in front of lights ether no toys beds nothing. Take some inspiration from the games your basing this off of Sims 2-4. -More pet beds & objects for ALL pets not locked if a object is for a small pet should be for all small pets! -More pet interactions -CHEAPER pets atm most pets cost LP premium money forcing you to ether grind or spend money. Sims 2-4 wouldn’t make u spend more real money once you bought the Sims pets you then earn money in game to buy a pet. (Maybe this is where a nice premium Sims should come into play) -Pets that are actually worth buying atm they dig up barely ANYTHING! They should dig money & LP based on how there treated. They are nothing more then cosmetic or a scam system because not even the good ones get you much. -New interactions for kids like tuck into bed, read to sleep -Ability to feed toddler in high chair or give toddler food to sit on couch & eat. You can feed a toddler in a high chair in all sims 2-4. -Allow Sims to multitask sit on couch eat & watch tv. This was brought more so in Sims 4. -Sim deaths like electrocution, drowning, starving etc Sims 2-4 has deaths. - aging system like sims 2-4 no LP costs -More Toddler things like Potty’s, beds, toys - teaching a toddler to Walk & Talk should teach them a skill -Skills for all ages to be learned. -Bring back old items from old events one example : the tube elevator. -A Farming system like the Sims 2-4 on PC has. -seasons like sims 2-4 has. -Allow a Sim to actually kneel down at the end of tub & bath the toddler. (This can only be done with the infant) -Celebrities & a Fame System -Plant Sims, Witches, Fairy’s & Vampire Sims all with unique looks & ability’s for all genders & ages. -A work in Pet store, Bakery & restaurant Where Sims auto come in & you serve them similar to the hospital etc. -Bring back ALL the old personalities we had -Bring us different Body Shapes -New Stair types like L J & Y shaped stairs -Unlock the whole map meaning put all buildings on map for people to see & use -Allow more then one Sim to go to a Neighbors world & Allow Adults/toddlers/baby’s/preteens to go to Neighbors to do quests atm using objects at a friends town does not fulfill a quest need! -Allow us to gift objects to our neighbors -Allow us to gift money / Life Points to friends
  • Used to be better, now a money grab

    By AnimesushiluverHK
Hadn’t played in a while and decided to give another try. Had originally deleted because my old phone died. I love the concept still, but it wants you to pay for almost everything and it’s nearly impossible to complete tasks quickly enough without paying to feel enjoyment. Before it was possible to make 10-20+ LP per day. Now it’s sooo expensive. I’d pay $20-$30 for an actual unlimited game, but you’ll hardly get anything for even $50+. Overall there are better games now.
  • Since when?

    By Loyal sims player
So now we have to pay for the things you win during the quest? Well that kinda defeats the purpose of being rewarded with something. Hella trash. I used to love this game but I think you guys are starting to get greedy and create a money pit 🤦🏾‍♀️ Very sad..
  • Love the game

Love the game keep up the good work
  • Money hungry

    By Cr921
Game used to be really good. But now all I’ve noticed is how you need lifestyle points for far too many things. Which means it leads us to more money spending. Been to the “store” and they want waaay to much money just to get little value of lifestyle points. Really? How can I enjoy a game when I can’t even play it at it’s full potential because of the lack of cash. News flash. Stop being so petty and just fix the game how it used to be.

Twice I have tried to purchase the $19.99 Life Points pack for my son, and both times they have deducted the amount from my bank account, but does he ever receive the items? Nope..... And I can’t get anyone from EA or Apple to help me. Both sides blame the other. Any recommendations????
  • Absolutely Therapy!

    By Dansbeloved
It’s a mad, mad, Mad, MAD World “Out There”... but NOT in SimsTown! I LOVE escaping to a place where I’m omnipotent and the “Worst” thing that CAN happen is my Sim accidentally sets the stove on fire making brownies! AWESOME for kids! NO violence, politics, STDs, predators, or disasters! TONS of fun events and updates, hobbies, and opportunities to earn event homes and prizes! The PRIMARY criticism I’d give the game designers is that you CANNOT get neighbors to earn Social Points without doing through Facebook... UNLIKE Simpsons or Forge of Empire etc. WHY do I need to EVEN HAVE FB for this, much LESS be subjected to the “rants” of strangers to get “Neighbors” for a game??? Given current PRIVACY issues, I SERIOUSLY resent the invasion, especially since Sims Freeplay is one of the ONLY games I’ve EVER liked enough to spend $ on... not that you NEED to!
