  • Not Perfect, But Not So Bad

    By Jamie Eight (Pcmac user)

I already subscribe to Majesty, and I have received every issue. The navigation is easy once you figure it out, but it isn't always obvious. I had a subscription to Hello! via Zinio, but they appear to no longer stock it, and in any case, I didn't want every issue, just specific ones that I found of interest. I purchased an issue that I wanted to read and downloaded it. Once it was downloaded, I could leave the app without losing the issue. The search unction is a little buggy, and frequently booted me out of the app. At one point it told me there was no Hello! but I was able to get the past issues page to pop up to browse. I will buy more issues in the future, but a year's subscription is steep when I have no interest in most of the content, so an occasional purchase when I want to read it, seems like a good fit for me. Everything is easy to access because it shows what I have purchased, and I can just click on it. In the past I have noticed that when you subscribe to a a magazine through this app, it will notify you that it is available before it actually can be downloaded and read, but as I now am aware of that, I wait until the next day and then download it.
  • Crashes on New IPad 3

    By Brazen31 (Pcmac user)

I received an email promo about the app so I took a chance and downloaded it (running iOS 5.1.1). Once it finished installing I opened the app and clicked on the categories at the top to navigate thru the app... I was pushed out of the app (in other words it crashed) and sent back to my home screen. I tried entering the app and once again it crashed! I didn't attempt a third time; as you know what they say about doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result... It's the definition of insanity! I gave just one star because it wouldn't allow me to write a review without grading the app... Don't bother downloading this app. I went to my diagnostics page and it showed me the crash report. Tri Active Media, if you want me to write a better review about the app make a better app or at least one I can use. Time is money and I've just lost time reading your promo email, installing an app that doesn't operate according to its/your directives and last, explaining the process of what happened in my experience so other eager consumers chomping at the bit to get a quality app that delivers what's promised avoids the apps that are time wasters. Unfortunately I'm very direct and to the point; don't confuse this as anything less, such as an insult, but merely constructive criticism. I'm deleting the app for now. Please don't send me anymore emails until you get under the hood and turn the proverbial I.T. wrench... Good luck!
  • Go with Zinio

    By TemeculaWineDrinkers (Pcmac user)

I’ve had nothing but problems with this app. First my subscription was screwed up. It was downloading back issues. I thought the idea of downloading the magazine was to read offline, for example on a plane when you have no wifi or internet access. When I try to open the magazine it tells me it cannot contact the server. Why does it need the sever if I downloaded it? It shows downloaded. Speaking of which, I can download two years worth of magazines on Zinio while this app is only at 15% on the first magazine. So painfully slow. $20 subscription wasted. I will never, ever subscribe to anything again through this app. I’ve never had a problem with anything purchased through inio.
  • Always Crashes!

    By Fun2know (Pcmac user)

The app always crashes when I select my magazine to read. I’ve had the app techs reply to my email about it and they had me delete the app and then reinstall it. That worked for a few days, but you lose all you old issues and have to download them. I am in the military and deploy a lot so once it crashes while I am deployed I am out of luck until I get some WiFi, which could be weeks or months at a time. Then it’s a vicious cycle after that. Please fix this app. Love the concept but the application is terrible.
