Remix Deck support was fine for what I needed.
By NotsoSiniSter (Pcmac user)
I finished mapping out a remix deck on my APC40 and was not ready to do it all over again. Obviousalias initially scared me away because I thought the program woudn’t even open a .tsi file that had remix deck stuff in it. But what hes talking about is the “Add in” and “Add out” menus in the program to add new controls are still outdated and don’t have all the new commands for mapping out the remix deck. But the program opens .tsi files with the new commands just fine. Its not really a big deal, just do the initial mappings in Traktor.
I was able to open my .tsi file, bulk duplicate all the new midi controls I made for the remix deck, bulk reassign them all to remix deck D, and change the midi channels that were different in groups. Being able to do that saved me several tedious hours of work. But I was not able to change all the modifier values from M3 to M4 all at once like I needed, nor was I able to change Deck value on the Slot # Cell # State modifier. That was kind of agrivating that I had to sit here and do all that, but its better then doing all of the mapping by hand.
This app will be worth a full 5 starts when I can bulk edit any mapping controls that share any common setting. Until then its still a work in progress. But for now, its still a big time saver.

Not much better than Traktor's mapping UI
By Octane.power (Pcmac user)
The program does pretty much the same thing as Traktor's built-in component it mimics but with pretty design. The UI paradigm is exactly same as in Traktor: user-hostile selection from long nested menus of submenus. It does make up for some of most horrific Traktor's shortcomings. It provides things we take for granted from software like copy/paste and ability to change assignment and channel of a set of selected mappings. These alone make it worth $8. But it also makes things more inconvenient since there is no immediate way to test that the mappings work. Instead you have to save then import into Traktor.
I suspect this was created by some NativeInstruments engineers to make some extra $$ on side. It shows exact same disregard for user experience and interface design principles as the orignal Traktor's controller manager. It also mysteriously can parse and generate Traktor's proprietary .tsi files.
The only reason it got 3 stars instead of one is because Traktor's controller manager is such an atrocity against users. Any improvement over that feels massive.

It's almost there
By Jeepwidow (Pcmac user)
Program is very easy. Especially once you memorize the keyboard shortcuts. Then things really move fast. I have two problems with it otherwise it would be a 5 star. I can't copy out the comments. I like to group comments for similar functions so I can quickly find them in my maps. Say Deck A bla bla bla. Boom all 10 functions are next to eachother. I would really like to copy a comment out of one map and past it to the other 9 maps. My other issue I just noticed is when I copy out a map, it loses the button it was mapped to. Now that I can copy out and paste which is better than reselecting it, but it would be nice to make a 100% duplicate map. This would speed things up since some maps have everything the same except the modifiers. I know we can't please everyone but all and all a good program.... Just wish I didn't have to use a Mac :P
Oh do any of this stuff someone let me know.

Does what it says, but lacking critical features
By lococobra (Pcmac user)
This software seems to strive to replicate the controller editor in Traktor, and does so quite well. Unfortunately, other than the wizard, full screen ability, and copy/paste support, it does little else. I would think a program called "the app Mapper" would be more focused towards complex conditional mappings, but there is nothing in the program to help you do that at all.
You can not change the mapping after adding it through the "Add In" or "Add Out" menu. You can not batch edit multiple mappings at a time in any way whatsoever. You can not copy modifiers through a hotkey (though it is available through menu - yuk). You can not group mappings in any way other than using "Filters", which does not help in modifier-heavy mappings. There isn't even the Copy A->B/C->D feature that's available in Traktor.
The foundation is there for an amazing mapping editor, but IMO save your money for now and stick with the editor in Traktor until the developer adds some of these much needed features.
