  • Well done as far as it goes...

    By G4gene (Pcmac user)

PROs: Superb for looking at any one radar site and all the different kinds of data that site outputs in full resolutionl. If you're interest in radar goes no further than one radar site, this is the app for you. CONs: No composite view of all sites. Come on the app, this is entry level stuff that is freely available elsewhere. If you're interested in exploring radar here and there, it will be tiresome. Next, loops are only 5 images, about 5 minutes worth. That's a big limitation for me and for anyone who is interested in the big picture. Finally, the base map is just just county lines. If its not your local area, you may find it hard to tell where things are at. Overall, what you get is done superb. It's what you don't get, that's disappointing for a paid app in this price range. Of course they offer more features, that will fix what they have crippled in this software, for a monthly or yearly fee. For me it feels like I'm being squeezed for more dough a little too much.
  • The only weather app I go for

    By Laura Toeniskoetter (Pcmac user)

I have this on all my Apple products. I had the iOS version since 2012 and went back and forth on whether I neeeded this on my mac too. I live in Central Texas (Austin area) and August finally gave me that answer. I puchased the macOS version when Hurricane Harvey was still churning in the Gulf and no one was sure what part of south Texas it would hit. With friends and family back in Houston, I was able to check in on the rain and help a few of them out. When it comes to radar, I don’t even look at other apps, just the app.
  • Great Radar App

    By Samuelger (Pcmac user)

For studying weather and weather systems over large a large area, this app does more than a phenominal job. Has everything any meteorologist/enthusiant could really need. It would be nice if you could add a satalite or road maps layer so when you're studying weather in more smaller geographic zones you can see the impact of that system in relation to what its physically over. On the meteorology side of things, this app couldnt be any better.
  • Great app for mobile and Mac

    By Matthew* (Pcmac user)

I have this on iphone, ipad and now my new imac. This app works great. I love how I can put locations in my address and see exactly where people are compare to a storm or snow storm. The developers have done a great job keeping things up to data. My only complaint is I think lightening dectection should be included with the base price not an upgrade. Most people want a weather app to see the lightening.
