  • Like having a Personal Trainer in your pocket.

    By Te'Sins (Pcmac user)

This is simply the best exercise app on the market in my opinion. I've downloaded and purchased so many. But nothing compares honestly. It's honestly idiot proof, covering any fitness level in any type of situation; whether you want to follow a program, only have a set amount of time, want to work on specific body parts or areas or just want to progress to the "big boy/girl" exercises like pull ups, push ups, squats/one legged pistols, planks/flags, Etc. One suggestion: do yourself the favor and buy the "you are your own gym" book as well. It's absolutely not necessary, but it definetely helps make the experience/journey much richer and more motivating. I'm a bit of a fitness nerd and have hundred of books on fitness. But it's definetely my favorite - both or the app trading and overall fitness. Together, you'll honestly have all you need not only to get in amazing shape, but know why it's all working and even deviate and have your own approach as well. But speaking on just that app, its definetely the best $5 you could ever spend. Like...life changing $5!!! Lol
  • Amazing Program

    By Jmo Whiskey (Pcmac user)

I've been following the program for 4 years using the structured workouts. I can't praise it highly enough! The program has become part of my life, and I have found it possible to maintain discipline, rarely missing a workout except for during vacations or the planned rest periods when a course is completed. I have progressed from the basic Basic program to the Master program, and hope to eventually move on to the Elite level, but due to my age (58), I'll see if that's possible. My condition has improved enormously over time. I've slowly begun to take more control over my workouts beyond strictly following the structured program, tailoring it up to suit my needs. I believe completely that my ability to follow and stick with the program is due in no small measure to its convenience and simplicity, but also to its effectiveness. If you're tired of the gimmicks, gyms, devices and complicated programs, and just want simplicity and results, this one is for you.
  • Great Level of Exercise Difficulty

    By No_gluten (Pcmac user)

I read Mark's book over a year ago and didn't do anything with the information I always thought you had to use weights. I had been using the "Mens Health Big Book of Exercise" for quite awhile but wasn't seeing the results like I wanted. I reread his book and meal plans, downloaded the app and started the basic exercise plan, 3 weeks later dropped 9lbs. I am in my 40's and never realized the difficultly of body weight exercises and the range motion improvement. The cool down stretches, are really helping with a shoulder I dislocated as a teenager. Thanks Mark! Edit Now I just finished week 8 of BASIC, the Stapper is the last exercise at the end of the week and a great 20 minute workout. Just wanted say the very noticeable improvement in strength, balance, range of motion in my whole body. I don't get stiff anymore, sleep much better, all around feeling great. Using his smoothie recipes and juices from his new cookbook, for an after workout meal. Really what I am finding is this is about consistency, eating the right things and being patient, I am now down 14 lbs from start. BTW love this app it does make things so easy!
  • Love it but theres always room for growth!

    By ElyMadeline (Pcmac user)

I love this app. Its the one thing I return to time and again because it meets me where I am but allows me to grow. I don’t get bored because the workouts vary so much. Im on my 4th round or so of the beginner program mainly because I had some issues in my upper body that made me have to work extremely slowly to work up to being able to do push-ups. I started at the wall and now Im at knee-height!!! For me its a big deal but I want to work all the way up to the elite level. One improvement I would make to the app is that I wish it didn’t erase the input if you have to start the program over . Id like to be able to look back and see what i was doing the first time i did the beginner program. And I wish I could edit a set in advance and save it to that workout with the option to revert to the original set if needed. If you edit the sets you have to do them right then and for the push-up modifications I wanted to go through and edit them all at once to set my workouts for that particular exercise back several levels.
