Engaging!
By Pedaler (Pcmac user)
It took us a while to figure out some of the gameplay, specifically what to do with the various weapons, and how to defeat critters or defenses. I prefer flying with a mouse instead of arrow keys, but it's nice to have options. It's challenging enough that I go back to the game, even after finishing all of the adventures.
A few wishes:
It would be a 'great' game if there were more single-player options. Currently only the Adventure (3 maps / levels) is single player. There are other gameplay modes, but they require two players. It seems there is no AI to play agains the computer.
The game requires certain 3D glasses for 3d mode. Nice idea, but we weren't about to buy new glasses to play the game.
Note that if you get this version through the App Store, it's basically the same that you would download and pay $19 for (on a Mac without App Store). The purchased version gives no additional levels or gameplay options.

Really cool flying game
By GorgonNerdicus (Pcmac user)
I've played the iPhone version of this and really loved it even on the small screen but I forgot how much games have to be scaled back graphically to run on those devices. When I loaded up this version on my Mac Book Pro I was blown away by the increased depth and complexity of the graphics and animation. And while I miss the more physical interaction of using the iPhone and iPad I really dig the look and feel of this unconstrained version of the app.
And then there's the stereo 3D aspect which is friggin great! Busted out an old pair or red-blue glasses and played. Old school 3D but it works well.

Awesome game! 1 less star because it's only 3 levels.
By KWontroba (Pcmac user)
The good:
-GRAPHICS WOW!
-3D!
-Game play is outstanding!
-Just hard enough for a fun challange but not too hard to frustrate.
-Soundtrack is AWESOME!
-Game is stable. No crashes after hours and hours of play.
Why only 4 stars? I'm greedy and would have liked more levels than 3...but that 3rd level could probably count as two.
I got this for free on a limited-time offer. I would have paid up to $5/$6 for it, and much more if the game was longer.
GET IT!! :)

Worse Than The First
By Humanoider (Pcmac user)
I remember playing the original the app in grade school and loving it. Although I had no idea what the objective was, it was just fun to run around and kill T-Rexes.
This, however, was a huge disappointment. First of all, when configuring the controls, something happens where it automatically inverts them, or something. Basically, I set the controls to my desired layout, but when I tried to use it in game, nothing worked like I set it. Second, the flying is just hard to manuever. You can never stop to reposition and it is practically impossible with a trackpad. Because of the sucky movement controls, it is almost impossible NOT to crash into something (like a leaf), which kills you instantly. Again, there were no instructions, so I had no idea what my objective was. I couldn't even make it through the first level before rage-quitting.
tl;dr:
If it's still free when you're reading this, you might as well get it just to try. If not, don't waste your money.
