Software Features and Description

1. By formatting the data stored in Calendar and Reminders and printing it on a paper planner, you'll get the best of both worlds: the powerful time management capabilities of Calander and Reminders, and the tactile friendliness and portability of a paper planner.

2. iPlanner is a powerful utility to bridge the gap between Apple's Calendar and Reminders applications and paper based planning systems.

3. What iPlanner does is take the data from those programs and format it to fit a paper based planner binder.

4. iPlanner supports printing onto blank paper page sizes to fit Franklin/Covey, Day-Timer, and DayRunner.

5. Print from the Calendar / Reminders App (iCal) to your Day Planner.

6. iPlanner is NOT a scheduling software or task manager.

7. Calender and Reminders does that just fine.

8. It supports many styles of 1 page per day, 2 page per day, weekly, and monthly formats.

9. You do NOT enter information in to iPlanner itself.

  • It is not what I thought :(

    By Marmato86 (Pcmac user)

I was thinking this would align with the this app on my iphone or iPad where it is literally an eletronic planner, something I could design, type into, and access across all my apple devices. This is only an app that allows you to print your days tasks based on tasks and stuff on your calender. You would have to add everything separately in your calender, task list, ect. and then transfer it here where it only allows you to print it. I am very disappointed. It should be called a different name if it doesn’t align with the e-planner app called this app for ipads and iphones. I can see how it can be useful to print daily things out, but you can’t add or edit and it’s a pain to try and uncheck what you don’t want (it always seems to recheck). It is not for the paperless planner…only a printed thing of your calenders and such from your phone.
  • Very limited

    By Not fornme (Pcmac user)

This app does one thing: it prints your Mac calendar onto your Day Time (or simiar) pages. It can also print to blank paper. I use this to print onto a Day Timer two pages per week format. It partially works...the data from my Mac's calendar is printed. However, it has a crippling limitation: there is obviously limited space on the Day Timer page, and this app uses most of it for the meeting's location. It leaves no room for the meeting's title. Thus my entire day is filled with meetings that all look the same! There is no way to fix it within the app, so I stopped using it. Also, expect a serious learning curve when you try to print onto Day Time pages. You have to insert pages in the proper order and orientation.
  • I was looking for something to print to Franklin Covey Perf-fit Classic

    By ScottCSchweitzer (Pcmac user)

Although this app does print, to print on Franklin Covey Perf-Fit pages you have to find the proper templates online. They’re not on the companies default website, but some secondary site. Then you can print to the pages, but even after that you likely won’t be happy with the results. My calendar is complex, with webex meetings, teleconferences, etc.. and none of them printed properly. The reminders do import and print, but again you won’t be delighted, especially if you have a number of items on your list. For $29 this is way over priced, and hopefully I can get my money back. This is the first time I’ve ever tried to “return” something to the App store.

This app does exactly what it says it does and more. I find that printing from Fantastical works better for me than Calendar. One piece of advice is to read and select your options before printing. This app has the capability to print your selected reminders as tasks and it "shades in" the daily schedule instead of just the little colored bar to the left of the event. The support was terrific as well. Just an email to them fixed a little issue that I had.
