What is TwentySeven?
27 or Twenty-Seven is a puzzle game that challenges players to enhance their spatial and combinatorial thinking skills. The game involves moving colored balloons on a 3D-grid, where adjacent balloons of the same color and size merge to form a balloon of the next higher size. The goal is to get ever larger balloons, starting from the edges of a cube 2×2×2 grid, with two balloons of level 1 (pink) or 2 (violet). The game offers different challenges on various grids, starting from a 2×2×3 grid, a 2×2×4 grid, and going up to a 3×3×3 grid with 27 possible positions.
1. You start on the edges of a cube 2×2×2 grid, with two balloons of level 1 (pink) or 2 (violet).
2. Once you get tired on the cube, which is in fact a 2×2×2 grid, we have other challenges in store, starting with a 2×2×3 grid, a 2×2×4 grid, and going up to a 3×3×3 grid with 27 possible positions, again in a cube.
3. Adjacent balloons of the same color and size merge to form a balloon of the next higher size.
4. Each time you move or merge balloons, you get another pink balloon.
5. You may move and merge balloons by swiping over your touch screen or by pushing buttons.
6. Move and merge away to get a blue (level 3) balloon, then a turquoise (level 4) balloon.
7. Even they don't achieve the next goal every time: a full house of 8 different balloons.
8. Now guess where we got our name? While the fundamental rules are the same, winning strategies for each grid vary.
9. You move colored balloons on a 3D-grid.
10. Your first goal is a red balloon of level 8.
11. Expert players achieve a red balloon in a few minutes.
