  • You can use it, but I hate it.

By The Yeet Fleet (Pcmac user)

Originally 2 star, but now 3. I love the this app website, but the drawing on this and the limited palette infuriate me. Only essentials are on this app, which is fine, but it’s hard to get actual line work done. Even zoomed in I can’t draw. When I read bad reviews, I thought it couldn’t be that bad, but it was. I just found out how to draw well but it’s sort of hard to figure out. Not really but still. Still unintuitive. Also don’t know if or how you can copy, paste, rotate, flip, or cut selected parts of the canvas. Seems like there’s a limit to how much you can select. This app is now getting one star. Shading is also limited by a lot because of the limited palette. But the preset works well enough. They tried to streamline this app, but now it’s way more limited and there’s much more of a learning curve, but without the mastery. There’s no eye dropper, which I use constantly on desktop. I think I’ll give this 2 stars, but only because I realized that the way that I draw solves more problems than it causes. Suggestion: on calculator for iOS in landscape mode you gain access to more options. You could do that for this app. P.S: This review is cluttered because I wrote it in increments. The selection tool doesn’t have a size limit but it is confusing at first.
  • It’s a great idea, but there’s a couple flaws making it difficult to use the app.

    By WurtsDraws (Pcmac user)

I’m really glad they made an app for this app (i lost interest in the website before because it was to inconvenient to go to computer every day and draw) but there are some issues with it. first off, canvas sizes. The biggest canvas size you can get in this app is 64 by 64. I understand for a lot of people that might be fine, but I do detailed illustrations, so the limit in canvas size makes it impossible to do so. Second off, colors. It’s so hard to select the desired colors, a color wheel would be greatly appreciated. The last thing is zooming. I can kind of forgive this one because there is a zoom in and out button. But it’s still really difficult to zoom in and out of a specific are of the canvas, and would be better if you could just zoom in and out with two fingers. Besides that the app is a good idea and would be very convenient for on the go if it didn’t have these problems.
  • CREATORS PLS TAKE ME INTO CONSIDERATION

    By protogen_luvr (Pcmac user)

Guys up in H.Q. . I am a very big artist on your app, but I really NEED one thing. Please please PLEASE... make it a thing to import photos from camera roll into your board, in the app. I’m saying, like I want to post something from ibis paint, and it’s in my camera roll, but I can’t do that because there’s no possible way of doing it in the app. So then I have to go online to post it, and it’s a little more time consuming (because my tablet lags like crazy), and I’m pretty sure a lot of others feel the same way. So I’m kindly reaching out, please make it a thing to be able to post photos from your camera roll to your board, in the app. That is all I request, and I know you guys can make it happen. Thank you very much!!!
  • A lovely concept, but could do with a few improvements

    By FloffyBean (Pcmac user)

Drawing on my phone is worlds better than using a mouse. However, the color system makes it very hard to choose colors correctly. I would weep with joy if we could please get a color wheel?? It’s what I’m used to using when I use cool colors for shadows and warm colors for lighting, and without this tool it’s extremely difficult to find the colors I need. To circumvent this problem, I set up some color schemes on my computer and then tried to edit the picture in the app. Unfortunately, it turns out that wasn’t an option. I really like this app, it’s invaluable for sprite making, but if you could give us a color wheel or something similar I’d be forever greatful. Ps: I’d also love to be able to edit the canvas settings myself?!? I can’t quite get the pixels to the size I prefer with the preset ones and it’s frustrating. Thank you!!
