What is RunCat? The app is a fun and quirky addition to your Mac's menu bar. It features a cat that runs at a speed based on your Mac's CPU usage. The app also offers a Runners Store where you can purchase various runners, including special color runners, animal type runners, inanimate type runners, and seasonal runners. Additionally, the app allows you to display system information on the menu bar, including CPU usage, memory performance, battery state, disk capacity, and network connection.

Install RunCat app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using RunCat on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "RunCat"
The search will reveal the RunCat app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once RunCat is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including RunCat.
Now enjoy RunCat on PC.

Back to being a great app

Previous version was sweet — lots of animations to pick from and they looked great in the menu bar. Version 3.0 comes with only 3 animations and on my iMac running High Sierra with 2 monitors it’s just a white box on a black menu bar. Worthless. Hopefully the developer will address the issue. If you have a previous version, I suggest you don’t update. UPDATE: I wrote the above review on 1/24 and the developer quicky fixed the issue. And a running human was added. Loving this app again.

What was once a simple, great app has fallen victim to the Andrew Wilson mindset of consumption - everything that was once taken for granted as a basic feature is now hidden behind a paywall. Looking forward to the original cat also becoming a "DLC". What a joke. UPDATE: Why on earth is the developer pushing out changes EVERY DAY?! Can you please just leave some animations as defaults and hide the rest behind your paywall, without having to update every day? This is the third time in 3 days there's an update available. I'm very tempted to find another app to do this task.

This is def the cutest app in the app store, but unfortunately - even when my menu bar is hidden - it just sits around sucking up all of my battery. Would be great to see it working a little more efficiently, but I can't use it for now :(
