What is Pyro? Pyro is an app that helps users keep track of their Open Source contributions on Github. It allows users to track any public contribution available on Github. Pyro also provides features to inspire users to do more for Open Source, such as following developer legends and rockstars like Linus Torvalds or Uncle Bob, and checking their contributions and max streak. Pyro also defines contributions and streaks and encourages users to participate in the Daily Commit Challenge.
1. Follow developer legends and rockstars like Linus Torvalds or Uncle Bob, check how many contributions have they made to Open Source and what is their max streak.
2. Pyro helps you to keep track of your Open Source contributions on Github.
3. Contributions are defined by Github, most of them are commits made to repositories but they can also be Pull Requests reviews, Issues created, etc.
4. It is possible to display contributions made for private repositories as long as the user's own profile allows those contributions to be shown.
5. Having a streak is more than just showing off, it is about discipline, it is about constancy, it is about wanting to create something every day and to practice every day, it is about: DCC (Daily Commit Challenge).
6. Setting a goal for commit at least once a day could help in the process of learning new technologies and also in practicing the ones you already know.
7. Github used to show this information itself in their own site but a few years back they decided to not display it anymore.
8. Install Pyro now and get inspired to do more for Open Source.
9. Any contribution available public on Github can be tracked by Pyro.
