Love this app!
By SmallShopLife (Pcmac user)
As an avid book reader, I have had a lot of fun using this app. It allows me to create different favorite book lists and scan my books in using the barcode reader. Super fun!!

Concept gets 4 stars- execution not so much!
By PJ2345 (Pcmac user)
I love the idea of this app especially the note taking capability. However the notes I make on the app do not save. (iPhone X). I am currently testing it out and 4x the notes I made disappeared.

Stop the Orwellian Apocalypse—Read
By Gregor Halsted (Pcmac user)
I love this app!
Why? Culturally, we’ve overdosed on gossip-mongering, news, and social media.
The cure?—good books!
We are detached from the great ideas that our literary tradition is based upon, detached from thinking critically.
Read, grow verbally rich, and cultivate a view that is free of the Orwellian superstructure.

Has great potential
By elfrhys (Pcmac user)
Pros: easy to add books, does a good job at finding the right one via bar code scan or search. Nice to be able to create multiple lists to separate looking for vs. reading vs. planning to read.
Cons: once I add a book to the reading list, I can never do anything with it again! No way to select a “currently reading” book, mark it as read, and remove it from that list. There also doesn’t seem to be a way for a book to be on both my bookcase and a reading list. If I have to scan it in twice, there’s no point in using the lists.
Mild annoyance: it’s nice to be offered suggestions, but not if I cannot dismiss the ones I’m not interested in.
Summary - if you can fix the problem with the lists (or, if I’m missing a command or setting, please let me know), this looks like it would be a pretty useful app.
