What is Shadowsocks X?

The app is a free proxy tool that supports Shadowsocks, ShadowsocksR, http, https, and socks5. It offers four modes, including Auto Mode, Global Mode, Oversea Mode, and Blacklist Mode. The app is lightweight, less than 3mb, and supports ping servers service. Users can add their own servers and share them with QR code.

Software Features and Description

1. Auto Mode (recommended): all sites in GFW List would be accessed via ss server, while the rest accessed directly.You can also add customized sites to Custom Rules so they can be accessed via ss server as well.

2. Global Mode: all sites are accessed via ss server.

I’m an express user and can’t even use that service more than 5 minutes at home. Socks rocks - get real speeds and virtually no drops = works anywhere and dont even have to wait for a connection. Best is their customer support actually listens and fixes problems - they understand CN users better. App is super easy to set up; youll have some instructions pop up once you download and activate. Takes about 1 minute without a degree in networking. Tip: try to find the non-store app or contact them for that. Will save a little trouble later.
