What is Brusfri? Brusfri is an advanced audio noise reducer that can clean up noisy audio recordings while retaining sound quality. It uses multiple fine-tuned gates to silence unwanted noise and doesn't mess with audio phasing to suppress noise. It can be used as a standalone app or as an AUv3 plug-in in compatible hosts.

Software Features and Description

1. Unlike many other noise reducers on the market, Brusfri doesn't mess with audio phasing to suppress noise (a technique that often comes with audible side effects).

2. When the LEARN button is released, Brusfri will start reducing noise.

3. When Learn is released, Brusfri will start reducing noise.

4. Press and hold the Learn button (the ear) while playing unwanted noise.

5. Brusfri* is a highly advanced audio noise reducer, packed into a simple and straight-forward interface.

6. In short, press “Learn” during a couple of seconds of isolated noise to create a "profile" for noise.

7. Import the audio, either by extracting audio from a video, by importing from iTunes, or by using the “Open In…” option in any other app that can export audio.

8. Instead, multiple fine-tuned gates are used to silence unwanted noise.

9. Brusfri can also be used as a AUv3 plug-in in compatible hosts, for example in GarageBand.

10. Find a region in the recording that only contains noise and play it.

11. Brusfri can be used in two ways, either standalone or as a AUv3 plug-in.

Download and install the Brusfri app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Brusfri"
The search will reveal the Brusfri app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Brusfri is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Brusfri.

Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Installing Brusfri:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "Brusfri" » Click "Install" to install Brusfri

Brusfri functions

- Can handle various sound conditions such as guitar amp, noisy vintage gear, boosted pre-amp, iPhone/iPad and external mic hiss, room reverb removal, fan noise, background ambiance, mains hum/electric hum.

- Press "Learn" during a couple of seconds of isolated noise to create a "profile" for noise.

- Available as a standalone app or as an AUv3 plug-in in compatible hosts.

- Parameters available that affect the noise reduction algorithm such as ATK/THRS/REL, LOOKAHEAD, EDGE, HPF, HIGH, and MIX.

- CPU intensive and iPhone 6/iPad AIR 2 or better is recommended.

Great for shorter clips

I bought this a while back and refunded it because it crashes when working long clips. I haven’t been able to find anything decent for background audio noise reduction, so I decided to try this app again on shorter clips. I used it on a 5:30 4K clip and IT WORKS BEAUTIFLY!!! I honestly am shocked with how well the clip sounds after removing the background noise. This app is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING when you work with smaller clips. I really hope it gets updated to address the issues, but as of now I have to say it is worth the price even with the bugs because of how great it works when it works. I know that sounds crazy, but I looked for a long time to find something else, and now I know this is the best.

At the time of writing this, there are 20 reviews for this app, including mine, and 5 of them are 1 star reviews. That's 25% for those of us who are counting. This seems like a great app if you're lucky enough to have a device that it works properly on. Doesn't work on mine though, like at all. Doesn't work in Audiobus as a plugin, doesn't work in standalone mode when I import sounds. Pretty much the same complaint as the other 4 guys. So if you're considering buying this app, good luck. There's at least a 25% chance that you're about to waste $15.

I am writing this review because it needs one for how frustrating it is to use this app. I have spent money on hoping it will help me clean up my audio for important uses with my school. The reason this app makes me so angry is I spent money trusting this will help and it did not, every time I try to import an audio from a video the app crashes. I try over an over to import and it never fails to crash. This is really frustrating when you're trying to do work. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS APP, IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY ON GETTING AN APP THAT IS NOT RELIABLE!

this app was useful until it became less interoperable with some workflows... it no longer is an available option when sharing your audio to another app. Hard to explain but have faith the developers will update because there is value in this plug when the versatile workflows are working.
