I hope to come back to this in a few months and revisit my review. But for now I feel very disappointed by the app for the limitations that are on it. Specifically I am talking about the parental controls. You would think it would be easy enough to have a timer setting wheel that goes for a 24 hour period. the app? Nope. Stops at 11:30pm. Want to turn off the kids internet at night? 11:30pm. Weekend? 11:30pm. Seriously? So I call support to see what their thoughts are. Useless. They know about it. They know it’s an issue. And the excuse is that the decide and app are new. Once this app gets the parental control functionality that is present in every other parental control app out there I will see what I can do. Until then I am shopping for a new router (again) and a new app to go with it.

Update 2: when are you going to fix the broken functionality? Last firmware/ software update was terrible. And after two months of silence it’s not fixed!!! Update: you screwed up again my friends, I’m taking my kind words back. Now It’s possible to delete blocked/allowed websites, but it’s impossible to populate the list. Before I pressed Yes/ No in notification and website automatically went to allowed or blocked list. Now it does the same but in the list I can see ONLY the last entry. All others are gone!!! And guess what? It’s not blocked or allowed anymore. I can add website manually and only after that it stays there. So, as I said before, the QA team is not doing their job properly. Stop outsourcing this, that’s why Core didn’t have any success. Poor quality!!!!

I let my one year subscription expire without renewing because the only choice is a month to month service, and the product is named differently than the original this app Subscription. After one month I renewed my subscription, but now my list of blocked websites no longer blocks. This feature was the main reason I renewed. After wasting almost an hour of India tech support (pathetic), the rep said he would escalate and I would receive a call-back in 24-48 hours. The did call after several days but did not have any resolution. On my first contact I requested a manager to discuss compensation for the inoperable feature I renewed subscription for; no manager called. Symantec, specifically the app, is losing customers in the US due to the incompetent support from India!
