clever neural net; needs more input.
By buildpilotbroadcast (Pcmac user)
considering it works using a local NN and does not require data connectivity, the fact i even got 10% accuracy is impressive. the app is smooth and clean, harkening back to the original snapchat (before they added 1,739 useless features). the raps do rhyme and the neural net simply puts the "guessed" word into the middle so that hard-coded line endings can be assembled into a basic pattern. i could only get it to do A-A B-B rhymes, so nothing too complex. out of all the objects i tried to isolate and test with (30) it got "pillow" "heater" and "shoes" correct. the other stuff it did guess wrong but did come up with decent "close" suggestions (show leather wallet:sees holster;show waist belt:sees seat belt;show door:sees maze). if you could get user inputs and feedback added, it would make it more accurate i think, but at some perceived privacy cost and end user time overhead. i think i'll keep this installed for now because i'm curious if the developer will do any updates based on user feedback. it's nice to see some neural net proof-of-concept apps hit the market. fyi, i came here from digital trends.

Rapto
By Imjztpeachy (Pcmac user)
Do NOT waste your money. I decided to give this a try and paid the 99 cents. It did NOTHING but play music. When I clicked on support I received a page NOT found. I am requesting my money back. I thought this would be so much fun but it was a waste of time installing etc. I wouldn't have been as disappointed if it would have just said/sang anything but it didn't. I could change music between the 4 selections at the top of the page and turn the light on but that was it. So sad - doesn't anyone at least make sure the app works before allowing it to be put in the store to buy. Oh well. Now to get my money back. My time is worth more than the 98 cents I paid but it is the principal of the thing. I feel that is what the developer is counting on a bunch of people paying Bd then not pursuing a refund because of it being "only" 99 cents. I would give it a minus score if I could

A lot of fun!
By Eddykala (Pcmac user)
Point the camera at anything and this app will make a song out of it! It's very entertaining and a great way to have fun using everyday things.
It seems to use object detection to identify what the camera sees and translates it into whimsical lyrics which are backed by several selectable built-in catchy beats. This is the first app I've seen like this and perhaps a new direction for other apps to follow.

Could be cool, but doesn't always recognize
By ms567 (Pcmac user)
I ended up deleting this app because it wasn't recognizing familiar easy objects. Kept repeating the same few lyrics. Could be pretty fun had it had the ability to recognize objects and have a wide range of lyrics.
