What is Intercom Anywhere?

The Intercom Anywhere app is a mobile application designed for Control4 Smart Home users. It allows users to integrate their mobile phones into their video intercom experience. With this app, users can receive notifications when someone rings their doorbell, see and talk to visitors, and control their smart home during the intercom call. The app also enables users to make calls between their Control4 touch screens and mobile phones, allowing them to keep in touch with their family when they are away.

Install Intercom Anywhere app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Intercom Anywhere on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Intercom Anywhere"
The search will reveal the Intercom Anywhere app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Intercom Anywhere is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Intercom Anywhere.

Nest, Ring are better

There is no video. It’s motion sensor so you can only see the person at your door in real time. Also the notifications don’t open the app so there are multiple steps to see the person and you have to be at your phone at all times and move quickly to actually catch the person at your door! Also, there is a separate app so it’s not integrated with the Control4 app - you need two apps so it doesn’t feel integrated - which is the purpose of a home automation system!! Not as good as Nest or Ring and costs 2 to 3 times the amount for the service - I’m disappointed!! I didn’t get those services because I wanted it all integrated and not have to use separate apps - but I end up separate apps anyway. Hopefully Control4 will fix that and integrate them all together. Also doesn’t work when you are on the phone!

Control4 did a great job! It’s awesome to be able talk to my house anywhere I go. Connection times are really fast and I love the simplicity of the app.
App is fine but needs upgrades

Works fine to check the front door but when someone rings the doorbell it won’t stop! So before you answer the door you have to hunt your phone down otherwise it will ring for the next year. Please put a feature that lets you limit how many times it rings. Also, a motion alert would be cool too.
Poor connection and No way to silence

Don’t waste your money. Get a Nest. Poor app design. No functionality to review video history without using third party apps. I get a poor connection and no video even when I’m on the same network with gigabit speeds. There needs to be an option to silence the alert without opening the app and canceling the call. Even with my phone on silent mode I still get an audible ring. You cannot adjust the volume or silence it without opening the app.
