I can't even play

I get to the menu that says 'play' and try to select it with my controller. However it won't let me continue. Either this game is broken or they want me to pay.
Doesn't work with MFi controller

Tried this game using my Nimbus MFi controller. Game recognizes the first "Press any key" when the app starts, but there's no controller detection after that. Can't even start the game. Hopefully they get this working.
