What is FaceTime?
The FaceTime app is a video and audio calling app that allows users to connect with family and friends around the world. It offers a range of features such as SharePlay, screen sharing, FaceTime links, mic modes, portrait mode, mute alerts, spatial audio, grid view, Center Stage, video effects, handoff in FaceTime, phone app integration, group FaceTime calls, and live captions in FaceTime (beta).
1. Grid view lets you see people in your Group FaceTime calls in the same-size tiles, and highlights the current speaker so it’s easy to know who’s talking.
2. Center Stage uses machine learning to adjust the front-facing Ultra Wide camera during FaceTime video calls to help keep you and anyone else with you in the frame.
3. Synced playback and shared controls keep everyone on the same beat, and smart volume makes it easy to keep the conversation going over FaceTime while enjoying a video or song you love.
4. FaceTime calls are integrated into your recent calls list in the Phone app, and you can create Favorites for quick access to key people in the Phone app.
