Install FreeChat for WhatsApp app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using FreeChat on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "FreeChat"
- The search will reveal the FreeChat for WhatsApp app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once FreeChat is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including FreeChat.
- Now enjoy FreeChat on PC.

great app but one flaw

I use the app for a couple of month and really like it. It’s easy to use and allows you to use your computer keyboard to write whatsapp messages instead of typing on the tiny phone keyboard. I actually prefer using whatsapp in this way instead of using it on my phone. Connecting it to your phone is pretty easy and once the connection is established it’s pretty reliable and easy to reconnect in case it’s needed.
However, since the last update I have one major problem. There’s no way to silence the app on my mac!!! Even when disabling the “play sound for notification” in my notification settings in the systems preferences the app still makes “blip” whenever I get a message. This makes it really annoying when watching a movie or a show while the app is running in the background. Please, please, please dear developers, fix this issue! It was working just fine in the previous version…
Also, I cannot send pictures using the this app app as the drag-and-drop option just wouldn’t work. But I can live without this option or just use my phone for sending pics.
But please, fix the notification issue… thanks!

It is great, could always have some improvements

I love to be able to text from my computer and this app works extremely well. I would like to see the posibility to respond to calls from computer, I believe everything else you do in your phone with whatsapp is possible with this app.

I’m enjoying free chat a lot! I have it on my phone. I wish I Could also get it on my tablet but so far I can’t find the wayto do that; that way, I could have it across all my devises; but you can’t have everything can ya! Free chat is a good way to send my looong videos and voicememo’s that won’t fit on email. When I’m going to send anything to a friend, the first thing I ask them is “do you have free chat?” I don’t do facebook, instagram, tweeter or any of those social media’s. So, free chat is right up my ally.

Incomplete functionalities

Can send and receive text messages and get notifications, so that’s ok for the basics BUT, for some reasons, I cannot scroll down the list of chats on the left; I need to use the search function instead.
Then one major function is missing compared to the WhatsApp inc app: the ability to record voice messages directly on your laptop is missing! So you always need to pick your phone for sending voice messages. Can’t also place or receive whatsapp calls but this maybe the same for other desktop apps.
