  • I Like It

    By MelGreer (Pcmac user)

this app is one of the increasing number of To-Do apps that encourages one to complete her/his "chores" by rewarding the user in some way. In this particular case, the reward is "time for fun". For each item you complete on your To-Do list, you are rewarded with play time. This is a 1.0 version ###Pros this app has a few positive things going for it. ####User Interface (UI) The app has a nice clean interface. Whatever you need is there in front of you on a bright background. There are basically 5 screens. The first screen has a big display of how much reward time you have accumulated. A plus and minus button, and a setting icon in the top right corner. #### User Determines Reward One of the nice things about this app, is that you have some control over how much your time reward will be for each completed task. You can reward yourself in a set amount of time or you can reward yourself with a variable (for instance, 2 minutes reward for every minute of walking). What you do with your accumulated time is up to you. The front page has a running total of how much time you have in the "bank", and you can withdraw from it by either by taking a lump sum out or by using a count down timer. You do this by hitting the minus button. ### Needs Improvement Remember, this is version 1.0, so there is room for improvement. * There is no documentation. You have to figure it out on your own. * You **can** delete items, but I found myself missing the 'delete' symbol (X) a few times on my iPhone (the delete space is too small). Not a big deal, but if you miss the delete button the app interprets this as having completed the chore and tacks on more reward time. I then had to go to the 'History' page and delete from there, where a swipe accomplishes the deletion. ### Rating Basically, I like it. As of right now ( 26 September 2015 ), I give this app 3 out of 5 Stars. I neglected to mention that the app will nag you if you haven't accomplished anything - I was not able to find anywhere to adjust any setting for this. I'm not sure how I feel about the nag yet, but I found it irritating. The lack of directions or a guide made it harder to learn, but the overall performance and idea are very good.
