3. Scan, Bag, Go puts the shopping experience back into the hands of the customer.

4. Use Scan, Bag, Go to scan items as you shop and bag the way you like.

5. If you want to use your smartphone to pay…go ahead and do it! Click ‘Pay Now’ anytime you are ready to pay.

6. To use the Scan, Bag, Go application, you'll need to sign up for a web digital login.

7. If you have the Kroger (or other Kroger-owned banner) Application downloaded already, it’s the same login you use for that.

8. Scan, Bag, Go is currently available at select Kroger owned stores.

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:

I have been shopping at Kroger for YEARS, and I just want to say that this new inventive way to shop is amazing. It is a time saver and very easy process to learn. I was able to see my running total as I shopped and the savings. You can pay on your phone and skip all the lines. My family is on a budget and this helps us out a lot. As I’m shopping my kroger card is connected to the app which means every item I the app I get the see the savings and the final price I’ll pay for the item. I also bag my groceries as I go so when I’m finished shopping all I have to do is pay and leave. Everything went very smooth every time I have used the process. Kroger I has added another great way to checkout and I’ll be using this every time I shop from now on. Don’t worry for you folks out there that don’t want to try it out, kroger still has manned cashier lanes and self check out for you. They have really created a way for all customers to have the check out experience that fits your personal life. The store associates did an outstanding job of teaching my how to use it and made sure I was comfortable before they let me shop on my own. Thank you Kroger!!!!!!
Convenient way to shop...keep up the good work

the app bag and go was recently made available at my local King Soopers and I’ve been pleased with it so far. I especially like that as of yesterday I can directly pay/check out in the app and skip the self checkout registers. Unless it’s an option I overlooked, it would be handy to have the app return to the camera/the app function after scanning an item. Perhaps display the list of scanned items for a few seconds to verify the item/price and then return to the scanning function. It probably saves battery life to not reenable the scanning feature...but it’s clunky to have to tap the app between each item. Also, it would be wonderful to incorporate the shopping cart/lists found in the King Soopers app into this app. Toggling between the apps works but it would be very beneficial to have that functionality be seamless. Again, I’m very happy with the app, but would encourage you to keep adding more to this app!
Risky - might save time, might not

I used the app once (Kroger) and it worked fine although scanning was a bit slow. The next time, one small item, a container of sour cream, didn’t the app properly. I think maybe the process got interrupted because I received a text right at the moment that I scanned that item. I got an error message from the app saying the item didn’t exist and I should get help from self checkout. I put the item back on the shelf in hopes of avoiding having to stop at self checkout. But after I was done shopping ($150 order—took forever to the app all that) and tried to pay in the app, I got the same error message again. I went to self checkout, but after much discussion and going through all my items the employees there were unable to figure out what was wrong and process my order. I had to go wait in a regular checkout line and have it all re-done. Total waste of time, will not use this app again until the bugs are worked out.

Update : I got a developer response yesterday that the app has been updated so I’ll be trying it again soon, probably this weekend. I give kudos for responding so I will increase my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. If it works much better this next go around I’ll probably up my rating again. Note : I too had noticed sometimes an item will not the app properly and say requires assistance. If they fixed that problem too then l’ll really love the app. I very like the concept but if it turns out it’s more hassle then the checkout, the why bother. Keeping my thumbs crossed! Old review : I have been using this app at Ralph’s for the past few months on my iPhone X . I preferred it to using the hand scanners and it was working well. Today , on my new iPhone 11 Pro Max , I went to log into the app and it was not logging me in. It sat at the logging in message for about 30 seconds then said error logging in . Did something break with IOS 13?
