To get started, Download the OpenPC software »

Snooze?

Thanks for writing this app. It's the only alarm app I've found so far that actually sounds its alarm only through the earphones and not through the iPhone's speaker. This means I can wake myself without waking my wife. I'm disappointed it doesn't have a snooze feature, however. Snoozing is the whole reason I need the app. I like to hit the snooze for an hour or so, but this makes my wife wish I were dead. I also wish the app design were a bit more conventional. It could be I just don't understand how to use it, but it seems like I can only have one alarm active at a time. Nice job getting it to really, truly work in the background, though.

I have searched for a long time for the solution to waking up to an alarm that comes through headphones only. This is the only app I have found that does it. Just one suggestion: the relaxing sounds that are available to fall asleep to? Make those alarm sounds as well, so we can also wake up to them if we choose. Nevertheless, a great solution and I thank you for it. This is the first review I can remember writing for an app. I bothered to write it because it provides a solution no other app can provide.
Practical App – Beautiful Sounds, Multiple Uses

I randomly stumbled upon this AWESOME app when I "Googled" how to fix a problem hearing sound through my headphones after the iOS update (v. 10.3.2). Not only did the sound return to my headphones, but just as touted above, it wasb't audible to others (my roommate). Incredible!! At the moment, my FAVORITE Alarm Sounds are TWITTERING & WHISTLE ... So delightful to awaken to. Also, set up Sleep Sounds. Select from many BEAUTIFUL nature's songs— ideal for RELAXATION & CATCHING ZZZzzzz's. I LOVE Sleep Sounds called the RAIN 1, RAIN 2, & NIGHT IN AUTUMN Both Alarm & Sleep Sounds offer MANY choices to select from.

PrivateAlarm would have a 5-star rating from me, except that it stopped working altogether in mid-Dec2017. Then when I tried a few months later, it worked again. It’s all I could find that can send an alarm through iPhone headphones but not aloud. It is still a little uncertain after I change the wake up time setting, and sometimes the alarm will not go off. I do use it every day.
