Install News Typing app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using News Typing on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "News Typing"
- The search will reveal the News Typing app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once News Typing is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including News Typing.
- Now enjoy News Typing on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native News Typing Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use News Typing,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "News Typing" » then Click "Install".
- News Typing will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

This app is fun for just typing to practice typing, however, it isn't a clean cut & paste from internet articles. In the middle of a sentence they will have strange characters such as "'" and "<p><BR clear="all">" while trying to beat your time at the same time.

I feel like someone is hacking me........... When I press “start” it loads someone else’s. When I let it load it says I did the credit when all I did was let it load when I press give give up he doesn’t do anything, then I redo it this whole paragraph. FIX IT

Doesn't work with some 3rd party keyboards

UPDATE: The new version now allows SwiftKey. YIPPEE!

This app is fine with the regular keyboard but doesn't work with some other keyboards that use swiping (like SwiftKey) instead of pressing each letter.
I put in a feature request to add 3rd party support. I will update my review if I hear it is updated.
