  • So many glitches

    By amasuba (Pcmac user)

So many glitches. Especially when try to set up time restrictions terrible. It uses the “I-phone lost” app for doing so! It is a complete headache to put it back to normal. Even if the time restriction is over it doesn’t take out the phone from the “iPhone lost”’status. (I don’t know how this app got to be in articles rated #1?). Actually I have used DisneyCircle, and even though didn’t give fancy reports it was better. I just discover My son downloaded a game he has been playing for ever and Qustodio didn’t alert even though games are restricted in the settings I put. The Qustodio app doesn’t even detect the app is there. I went to the FAQ and it seems there are certain video games Qustodio can’t have access to control o report ( very convenient for these video games company that the only thing they want is to get the app addicted). I will just block the App Store see if this help meanwhile. There are more things I’m not satisfied in terms of the reporting and such but I don’t have time for writing more.
  • WORST app ever - if I could give 0 I would

    By HY419 (Pcmac user)

Honestly, I have never left a review for anything. I have never felt this negative about any app - even if it didn’t work. This ended up being days of pure torture. It took over my teenager’s phone...started just before 1st day of school. Perfect timing. It wouldn’t allow her access and would completely lock up - middle of the day during mornings and evenings - full access times. I changed all settings and deleted account. Spent way too much time researching just how to eliminate. No good help options. After all this still had complete control over this child’s phone. Far more stress than I would have ever anticipated. There are so many other decent apps to accomplish the same thing. Thought I would give this one a 3 day trial. Absolutely horrible. I never want to spend this much time on any app ever again. Do not go near this app. And certainly don’t download to your child’s phone.
  • No longer works

    By 675Jenny3 (Pcmac user)

This used to be a great app, we have used the premium version for 6-7 YEARS! But, it no longer tracks anything reliably, reports only a tiny fraction of the activity, cannot track location 90% of the time, the time limits are worthless because it will report two minutes of use for an hour but then also count the whole hour toward the child’s time limit...all features that used to work really well. When I contacted the developers for help they gave me the uninstall/reinstall advice and blamed the location issues on what google location was reporting from the phone. That was baloney because I was able to pull up a correct location on the kid’s google family app at the same time that Qustodio was reporting a 12 hr old location (and saying it was “just updated”). Sorry to say after so many years we’re done, I wish it still worked because I used to recommend it constantly.
  • Unreliable

    By paytayto (Pcmac user)

I love this app, when it works. It has the ability to set time limits as well as times where no device use is allowed. It tracks app useage, internet search, etc. however, There are times when the app will not update a change of rules (for example if I change or end screen time on a device), it seems to be spotty in tracking data, and my son also easily disabled it on his phone despite having it password protected. It has been nearly a month since he uninstalled and I reinstalled and every time I log on there is a big red warning stating it is not being tracked because it was tampered with, yet has all the tracked info. It’s very glitchy which makes for lots of frustration and I would definitely not pay for another year
