  • Really not quite there I think

Marked it five stars because anything less is misinterpreted as a failing grade so stars are meaningless. This does what it says. You have a map from a big map app, and you drop pins on it. Then you can add your own metadata to your pin. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I see, you can drop your pin straight onto the address of, say, a restaurant or hotel or whatever, and you will still have to choose and enter all your metadata, like what category is it etc. This is the case even though the map "knows" all that and is displaying it! It seems silly to *have to* populate those fields by hand when the app could prepopulate them for you with data from the map you are already using. If I drop a pin on a restaurant that is marked on the map as a restaurant, why should I have to open a dialogue where I then mark it as a restaurant? Suppose my finger slips and I mark it as a dry cleaner instead? And so on with every piece of metadata. And then if it changes from a restaurant to a dry cleaner, my metadata still shows restaurant, right? Unless I missed something, using this app to its fullest means creating a database that already exists, and in a way that makes it very susceptible to errors and update anomalies. It would seem a waste of work. And is the .pny export format proprietary? I hope not. I might be wrong and just didn't see these functions. But if I'm right, and these design decisions were deliberate, I'm forced to uninstall it even if it's free. Because my work that I invest in it isn't free. And I'm against unnecessary entropy, ie, throwing away work/information, which is what happens when software creates islands of redundant or erroneous data, which in addition is (?) in a non portable format and therefore certain to be lost sometime, probably soon. If these are features you want to develop, and you lack the time or info, I'd help you put the work in. It's a very cool start.
  • Love this map app

I very much enjoy using this map for tracking. It's the only one that's been working for me, that is until the most recent update. It freezes no matter what. Hopefully that will be fixed soon!
  • App crashes

    By vsosas (Pcmac user)

I really enjoyed using remembat so I started using this app. The problem is that when I import my remembat data, the app crashes. Please fix the bug.
