What is ShotPro?

ShotPro is a pre-visualization app designed for filmmakers, directors, DP's, and storyboard artists. It allows users to create 3D sets and scenes with ease and animate characters, props, cameras, and lighting. The app has won the "Best mobile app of 2015" award from Videomaker Magazine.

Download and install the ShotPro app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using ShotPro on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "ShotPro"
The search will reveal the ShotPro app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once ShotPro is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including ShotPro.
Now enjoy ShotPro on PC.

To get ShotPro on Windows 11, check if there's a native ShotPro Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Installing ShotPro:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "ShotPro" » Click "Install" to install ShotPro

Think Twice

UPDATE: A rep for this app did get back to me after the post below and addressed my issues. There are in fixes inside the app that i wasn’t aware of so i change the title from Think Twice to Unless You Storyboard for a Living and need a High Powered Program, Think Twice Before Buying a Different App / Software than this one… especially when most others cost 5X as much. RE: The OSX version: The few preloaded backdrops did not load into the scene for me. When contacted, a rep replied “You can import your own backdrop image if one of the built in ones don’t work” with no explanation of why it won’t work or how to fix it. Also, all of the icons and and description boxes are ridicluously small and extremely hard to read / see - and i have 20/20 vision. Seems to me it was poorly adapted from Apple IOS to OSX? It’s not the $40 for the app that bothers me, it’s the aggravation of trying to get it to work and fighting to see what the different tiny icons were that made it a bit too painful. That said, all of the other parts of the app were great - especially for the price, so i hope it may get even better with an update(s)
Needs Resolution Fixing for Retina Display Macs

I use a retina macbook pro 2013 and the interface looks very jagged so much so that it literally hurts my eyes plus it makes the program look very cheap and makes it tough to read many small texts. they need to fix this issue and make it compatible for high res macs especially since now most new macs are high res. even in my 1080P 2011 iMac the interface looks quite jaggy. besides this, loving the regular updates they are making, hope it will eventually be the software it was hoping to be. still think the in app purchase is asking too much. a $39 app should have those pcas included already. good luck for future updates.
Good With Limits

This is a good program if you want quick and dirty framing, but for what it offers, it has many limitations. Imported obj files cannot be manipulated to fit the scene. Many are too big or the manipulation axis is so far off, that it is unusable. You can’t make the elevation of an object a negative, so if the axis starts at 10m, you’re screwed. And if the object is too big you cannot scale by percent, only by (1x, 2x, ect…) You also cannot custom scale your objects. There is only a “scale by (1x, 2x..)” No way to scale the width, length or height of your objects independently. This can mess up your shots if say, a table is too wide. From what I can see, no imperial measurement selection. You can set a floor grid to feet but none of your measurments are in feet. Good selection of adults, but only one boy and one girl for children types. This severly limits you because you can also only copy an “actor” 3 times. Also no translation for “backgrounds”. Fixing these issues would make it a less frustrating program to work with.

I am so happy the OS version is finally here. Just like the iOS version it needs a little polishing, but I am a customer for the long run. Software like this at an affordable rate is a GOD SEND! Not to mention the mobile version is totally revolutionary. I am a Shot Pro fan for life. I think this app is transforming the film industry right before our eyes. The developers have listened to users and continue to put out updates meeting our needs. I know they will continue to do this for the OS version as well.
