What is Adobe Comp?

Adobe Comp is a mobile app that allows users to create wireframes and layouts using real assets like photos, text, shapes, and fonts. The app is designed for graphic designers and artists who want to explore a concept using gestures, guides, and grids to align and work with spacing controls. Users can also take advantage of other Creative Cloud services like Adobe Stock, Libraries, and Linked Assets. Software Features and Description

1. You must be 13 or older and agree to Adobe’s terms and privacy policy, viewable at Use of Adobe mobile apps and online services requires registration for a free Adobe ID as part of a free, basic level of Creative Cloud membership.

2. Use of Adobe mobile apps requires a free, basic level of Creative Cloud membership, which includes 2GB of complimentary storage for file syncing and sharing.

3. Adobe CreativeSync ensures that your files, fonts, design assets, settings and more all instantly appear in your workflow wherever you need them.

4. Assets you pull into Comp from your Library will display as linked files in Illustrator and InDesign and as Smart Objects in Photoshop.

5. Get easy in-app access to your assets — including Adobe Stock images or vectors and color themes from Capture.

6. If you need more than your allotted 2GB of Creative Cloud file storage, you have the option of purchasing an additional 20GB for $1.99 (US dollars) a month.

7. Lay out an idea with real assets like photos, text, shapes and fonts.

8. Adobe online services require an Internet connection, are not available in all countries or languages, and may be subject to change or discontinuation without notice.

9. • Send the idea to the desktop where it will automatically open in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or Muse.

10. Send the wireframe to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or Muse to refine and finish.

11. To stop service, simply go to your account Settings and turn off auto-renew at least 24-hours before the end of your billing period.

It’s a two way street...

Before I begin, all of this is is new to me. I am learning as I go. I am a subscriber to LR CC, IOS. Main reason I subscribed is the app was the only reputable company that offered IOS Mobil apps other than Google Snapseed, which by the way is also an amazing app. More user friendly upfront than the app in my opinion. However, thats what lead to the title of this review. For those who feel the app lacks, or that it was not as good as before, well take a look in the mirror and ask yourself, what have you done to better yourself? Chances are, you have not taken the time to learn and understand all of the changes made or new features and benefits that come with the new version updates. I am new and quickly finding out there are a several apps that work with some and not others. If you know what each app is intended to be used for, you will not be disappointed. Forcing the users to reach out for support definitely will increase efficiency and productivity by automatically weeding out users who are not willing to take the time and learn. With all the available learning resources and several different ways to contact them for support, its easy to find out which apps you need to use together in order to provide what you are looking for.
Great but...

This app is very simple and easy to use. Great for flyer/brochure designs. But have all ur edited photos & art already drawn/saved in ur photos or other compatible apps. With design, photo or art apps u either get one or the other. The art apps have very limited text features for brochures/flyers. Design apps have limited art features. Photo editing apps r limited on both drawing and text. To do a project with text, custom graphics & photo editing, u have to switch between different apps. Ive bought and downloaded a lot of apps but this is the most useful for creating text layouts. One thing i would add is the ability to customize page size and to do multiple pages in one project. Or maybe a trifold brochure option
3 years later not much improvement

A couple years back I was looking for an app to wireframe in quickly. Had just got an iPad Pro an thought it was the perfect time to move away from sketching ideas on paper..... unfortunately the app decided to make 18 separate apps that each do 1 thing...sounds like fun. I need this app to have the freehand vector drawing power of the illustrator app, and then some type of interaction functionality. Right now it’s in like a weird limbo state, I can’t really start with ideas because it creates automatic shapes and doesn’t let me draw a simple line. But the illustrator app doesn’t let me type text...the closest thing I found was an app called Concepts. But that Concepts app has some of the worst UX, and everything important is behind a paywall. I already have an the app subscription but to my dismay...they fell short on most of these iPad versions.
What a Hot Mess

I have never written a review before but I was so outraged by the lack of functionality in this app that I had to say something. The critical issue is that you can’t get your creations off your phone/iPad in any reasonable manner. I mocked up 26 pages only to find if I want them exported to InDesign, I have to send them one by one. And that’s not easy cause you have to have your computer open and then logged into CC. What a monumental waste of time. My exec needed a PDF hard copy of the project ASAP for review and I had to literally sit for a half hour clicking each and every one of the pages. I mean, who is the genius who thought only providing a link option and an export to BeHance was a good idea? What a huge fail. And then there is the overall lack of functionality. Since there is no inDesign for the iPad, this app seems like a good option. Nope. Too little functionality. You can’t even rotate a shape. So much wasted potential.
