Install Blankie - Patchwork Blanket Designer with Ravelry Integration app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Blankie on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Blankie"
- The search will reveal the Blankie - Patchwork Blanket Designer with Ravelry Integration app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Blankie is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Blankie.
- Now enjoy Blankie on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native Blankie Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use Blankie,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Blankie" » then Click "Install".
- Blankie - Patchwork Blanket Designer with Ravelry Integration will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Useful, but definitely needs improvement

Missing features that MUST be added: delete a project, copy a project, rename a project.
Missing features that SHOULD be added: ability to sort projects; when selecting a photo to fill a square, remember and go to the last album that was used.
Missing features that would be NICE TO HAVE: ability to select multiple squares to fill with the same photo, choice of shapes (square, rectangle, triangle, hexagon, pentagon, etc.) for a project, ability to construct a customized layout for a project.

I just found this app & enjoy using it. In addition to the other suggestions mentioned, I'd like to be able to export, or print, an image of my project.

When I saw the screen shots I was hopeful that this would work. It doesn't. It needs:
1. Ability to fill a square from the color wheel
2. A menu to delete, rename
3. Ability to move content of a square without shuffling
4. Ability to resize photos

Doesn’t work

I can’t get it to access my photos on my iPhone. I go to Settings/Privacy/Photos and I don’t see the app at all, nor do I see it anywhere else in Settings. I sure hope the creators are bothering to read these reviews and fix it, it’s a great idea.
