  • Marginally better than Simple Rockets

    By byronint (Pcmac user)

This is marginally better than Simple Rockets. The controls are sensitive making it difficult to fly. With fingers off the keyboard a few seconds, the plane should stay in somewhat of a stable path. The concept is nice for children, but with only two landing areas and a limited “world” to explore it gets old quickly. If serious about planes and rockets try KSP. Maybe Simple Planes or Simple Rockets version 2 will be better.
  • Rant (kinda…)

    By Ben_Jammin02 (Pcmac user)

Whenever I try to download planes it gives me an error. It seems as if the developers have forgotenn about about OSX because despite me trying to contact them they never respond and the weird thing is is that the developers are a small team, so you would think that the response time would be greater than it is. If this was a AAA developer I would expect this to happen. But still this is one of the best games that I’ve played and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a light flying simulator.
  • Really fun, a few nagging issues holding back from 5 stars.

    By Jaquers (Pcmac user)

Over all the game is very fun. There were a few polish issues that I encountered, one of them probably being user-error. - Main gripe is the ‘wobbliness’ of the aircraft (using the predefined ones), especially on pitch and yaw. I realize this might be to help debounce user input - and it is very forgiving (which is positive), but generally once I stop input, it should only do a little bit of correction. Obviously this is probably a hard problem due to the dynamic nature of the aircraft, but it does make it tougher to fly. Perhaps this could be corrected by adding more weight to the back of the plane. Also, using yaw tends to send the craft into a roll, which is not very accurate IMO. - Elastic scrolling on Mac is very touchy and over sensitive. On any of the list views, you scroll just a tiny bit and the items fly past. It’s not broken, just touchy. - Couldn’t figure out how to rotate blocks in editor mode, and it doesn’t seem to be mentioned in the docs. Tried modifier keys but to no avail. Would be nice to hold shift or ctrl while the part is selected, and then move the mouse around and the part would rotate in place. I’m a developer so I only notice negative things, but like I said the game is very enjoyable otherwise. Minecraft meets planes, something I always wanted as a kid.
  • Some things needed

    By mr.warhammer (Pcmac user)

Use actual gatling gun sounds instead of the puny noise it makes right now. bring legit helicopter blades, or helicopters in general, allow us to put downloaded pictures from our mobiles, into the game, basically meaning I can put cat photos on my B-29 but make the designer for this like Forza Motarsport 6 settup. please add flares so I can evade missiles because its impossible to dog fight with the AI when thee AI has missiles. fix spawning in dogfights so my plane won't get shot down 2 sseconds into the flight, make jet engines more fuel efficiant that propeller engines, like in the real world. make it so when my plane does blow up, not everything blows up with it. because I can't lose a wing withought losing my pllane entirely. add more detail to Tarplay airport, and that island in general. I hate flying over there because it is so bland.
