Connect With Your Friends While Working Out
Sometimes, you may not have the chance or the space to take a run or cycle around the neighborhood, or to the park. This could happen if the conditions for running or cycling outside are not conducive or friendly. In times like these, an alternative is always necessary. If this is the case for you, there’s nothing to worry about, Zwift Companion is the answer. The app allows you to exercise virtually with other people in real time.
You and your friends can go for a run together, no matter how far away from one another you are. Exercising, keeping fit and bonding with your friends at the same time is something only the Zwift Companion app can give you.
You can even stay connected while you're on the move. You can also pair it with your computer over a common WiFi network. What’s more? You can use it as a Zwift game controller when you're riding with your friends.
Here are ten features you’ll need on Zwift Companion.
#1. Home Screen:
With the Home Screen, you can see progress on your targets, see activities on your feed, view your training plan and see upcoming events.
#2. Events:
Keep track of upcoming events, explore and decide on the events that you want to go to. You can also keep track of attendees; know who is going and who isn’t. When you’ve decided on which events to attend, you can sign up.
#3. Activity:
This feature gives you the chance to support others or be supported. With the activity feed, you can keep track of the activities of others on Zwift. When your friends do well, you can encourage them and give them a pat on the back when they complete a ride.
You can do this by clicking on the Ride On icon in the feed.
#4. Goals:
You can create periodic goals with which you can measure your progress, be it on a weekly or monthly basis to keep on track.
#5. Map:
The map feature helps you to know where you are in the world while you're Zwifting. If you’re a stickler for long distance rides, you should check out the map.
#6. Workout:
You can control the speed and the tenor of your workout with Zwift. All you need to do is connect to the game and access the Workout screen, which will let you see and manage your workout.
#7. Text Messaging:

If you are attending an event on Zwift, you can chat and talk with people attending the same event as you.

The Dashboard on your screen will give you the key metrics you should pay attention to - speed, distance, elevation, time, cadence and heart rate.
#9. Zwifters Nearby:
You can keep track of people in front of you or behind you on a cycling course. You can check how far ahead or behind you are in comparison to them, and how much of the race they’ve completed. You can even privately message someone on the same course as you in real-time.
