1. Rate the currently playing song in iTunes from your menu bar with a single click of the mouse.

2. After enough songs are rated, you can use the data to create smart playlists that contains your most favorite music in iTunes.

Install Stars by Karelia app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:

Old favorite, not sure about future use...

This has been one of my MUST HAVE apps for the past six years. Long before the app store, long before Karelia. I *almost* still love it, but there’s a few things it can’t seem to handle yet. Apple recently switched from this app to Hearts. Which is frustrating, but not ultimately a deal killer. Or at least it wouldn’t be, if this app would adapt. For instance, if I’m listening to a song on Apple Music (not my own library), this app gives me the impression that I can rate it. Indeed, I thought I’d been rating these songs for the past two weeks. It turns out that data went nowhere, and is lost. Five this app didn’t even register as a heart. Karelia needs to update this so that, when this app are not available, a heart icon is. Clicking the heart will ‘heart’ the song in iTunes. Otherwise the app is useless for this purpose.

This is a simple app that does a few things and does them well. When iTunes is playing it shows you 5 this app in your menu bar so you can rate your songs. It also allows you to use half this app in your ratings. When iTunes is not playing, there is a single star in the Menu Bar. Click on the star (iTunes off) or this app (iTunes on) and you can get an optional drop down of the album cover with icons to click to pause, play, forward or back your song. You can also access the app’s preferences from the drop down, including notifications for unrated songs and keyboard shortcuts. This app gives me all need and nothing more. I used to use I Love this app before Karelia bought it. I like this more. ✰✰✰✰✰

Please keep updating it. To the user that gave it a 1-star review because the developer removed a chime sound, do you really need a chime sound if you get a notification? I don't understand. Only thing I’d change is to show the full artwork when using the “Show album cover” command. I never use the on-screen playback controls, so I’d rather just not see those on top of the art.
Not really that useful - extremely limited functions.

I used to have “You Control” on my Mac. Not only was it absolutely loaded with features, you could put some of the more useful ones directly on the menu bar. So for iTunes, you could have song name, rating, time, pause play etc. (Plenty of other feature s could be put into the menu bar as well) I have been using “Menubar" but I hate that I have to click, bring down a menu, then go to the rating submenu before I can rate something. So I was given the impression I could rate a song using “this app", and thought great. But again, if I want to do anything other than rate a song, I have to use the pop down menu that appears when I hover my mouse over it. I don’t understand obsessions with cover art – I don’t look at a song when I play it, I listen to it. Why bother? Not exactly useless, but not worth the price.
