Install Safeway Pharmacy app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Safeway Pharmacy,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Safeway Pharmacy" » then Click "Install".

Buggy as all get out

I’m LOL’ing because the comment on Version 7.2.3 is “Major big fixes.” Well, I could get the app to work 10-20% of the time before this update but now I only get “technical problems; try again later...” Major bugs fixed in place, maybe? This app is handy and helpful when working. It makes initiating refill requests simple & provides useful info on when your Rx is ready for pick up. However, in recent months it’s been flaky, as mentioned above—luck of the draw whether it would work. When it was working, often the dates when it was time to refill a med would be off by a few days (always later than should be), e.g. instead of 30 days, it would give a date that was 32-35 days after the last fill. In the few days since the latest update, I’ve gotten the app to work once. In that session, after I looked up one drug, it was back to “technical difficulties.” I wish they would hire competent developers or pay them enough to care or fix whatever the source of the problem may be.
Terrible app

This app is terrible. We used to use Walgreens and their app lists when the rx is ready, if there’s a delay, the cost and qty of the rx, among other things. I also use CVS and their app is clean and easy to use and also lists the price, qty, and if the rx is actually ready to pick up. This app doesn’t give you info about your rxs. You have to go into the refill from list menu just to see if your rx is on the list and then if you click on it, the only way you can tell if it’s ready is by the “last filled” date but it doesn’t give a price or qty. I have text and email alerts set up and only get notifications sporadically on about half of the meds. Love the pharmacy and employees at our local store but this app is ridiculously stupid. It’s getting frustrating enough that I am considering a different pharmacy because we have a family of 5 and it’s too confusing to manage their rxs with this poorly designed app. I hope they update and improve it soon.
Mostly unusable

This app was great when I first got it before it was redesigned. But now I can’t really use it because several of my prescriptions are stuck. Somehow the app thinks they are still in the process of being filled or weren’t picked up. I contacted support and they said they would forward to engineering. Several days later I have not heard anything back. Has been a very frustrating experience, especially after the previous app worked ok (minus crashing or not working outside of business hours). Overall it’s a great idea but right now it’s just not working well enough to be useful. So disappointing...edit...months later I’m still waiting for these things to be fixed. Have taken off another star because I can’t really use the app anymore and it’s causing more confusion than just calling in my Rx. Very disappointing :( do you all have an update in the works? What is going on?

I don’t understand why I cannot delete prescriptions I don’t want or need, instead they get filled. The price comes up in my text, I have to check the prescription number in the app and check the price. When I need a refill and have run out of refills I ask in the app to have the Dr called. The Drs office claims they never received notification. This is a great idea, but it needs better execution and an easier way to navigate it. I’ll continue using it, it really needs to be more user friendly.
